About Dogs' Purpaws, LLC
Dogs' Purpaws, LLC, led by trainer Carla, specializes in helping dogs and their owners. One client engaged Carla to facilitate the integration of a new rescue dog, Moose, with their 4-year-old German Shepherd mix, Charlotte. Initially, Charlotte exhibited anxiety, pulling on walks, and reactivity towards other dogs. After a two-week board and train program and follow-up tips, Charlotte demonstrated significant improvement, becoming less anxious, ceasing to pull on walks, and reducing her reactivity towards other animals. Carla also assisted another client in addressing their reactive dog through a two-week intensive boarding and training program. The dog returned more confident, calm, and better prepared to interact with other dogs. Carla's guidance extended to the owners, educating them on how their own anxiety and fear affected their dog's behavior, and providing leadership and interaction techniques to enhance their dog's life and theirs. A third client, with a rescue dog named Bearo, sought Carla's help to address reactivity and walking issues. After a two-week stay with Carla, Bearo became easier to walk, calmer around other dogs, and generally more relaxed. Carla's commitment to the dogs, including providing regular video updates and in-person training sessions, has transformed the client's relationship with Bearo. They feel fortunate to have worked with Carla and believe they have become better dog owners as a result.
We had a wonderful experience working with Carla for our golden retriever puppy, Butter. We chose a combination of in-home training and boarding, and it was exactly what Butter needed. During boarding, Carla provided valuable exposure to other dogs, new environments, and a variety of experiences that helped Butter build confidence and reinforce good behavior. The consistent repetition and structure she provided made a noticeable difference.
What we appreciated most was Carla's patience with us as owners. She took the time to thoroughly explain what she was teaching , demonstrate the behaviors, and show us how to continue training at home. She made sure...read full review
We adopted our foster dog Norman because we thought he was cute and calm. Once he got comfortable, it was obvious that he had problems. He would jump, growl, bark, and was a terror to walk! The sight of another human or a dog sent him into a state of aggressive barking, pulling, and agitation. I sought out dog trainers online and was impressed by Carla Pinedas 5 star reviews . I called and we talked on the phone and I was convinced that her knowledge and training style would be good for Norman. Her concepts were sound and we decided on the three home visits to rehab our dog.
Upon arriving at our home, all I can say is “woman dog whisperer “! She was immediately...read full review
I attended a leash training session with my dog and Carla and was fantastic. She has such a calming energy about her and my dog did so well during the 1 hour session. I was shocked. It’s only been a few days and I’m already seeing improvements in how we walk together. Will go again for sure.
