I saw post where someone had claimed the staff was disrespectful to a client and was harassed . I was their when that client was getting their hair done. The customer was more then happy when she left the salon , she said she was happy about her hair . Maybe her boyfriend is just mad he was stuck with the bill who knows . Besides that let me talk about the experience, sanitation is spot on , whenever you move seats to go get your hair washed , it's wiped down after and before you use the area . Meches staff is nothing but warm and caring from the moment you step in! Their sanitation from the very beginning is very telling as they make sure the whole place is spotless by wiping down everything before and after each client. Meche did a wonderful job on lightening my virgin black hair with no problem! Don't mind that one negative review, She makes SURE that you're 100% happy with the end result and makes you leave with a smile on your face!! Really cant recommend any where else, definitely will be coming back!!!! (((;

Love this place!! From attentive staff to amazing hair results. Mercedes is THE best hair dresser in town. She literally knows everything and anything about hair. Reasonable prices as well. Heads up she has two wonderful locations; one in sunset park (58th st bet 5th/6th ave) and the other one is in bay ridge (78th and 3rd ave). Though she spends majority of the time in bay ridge, the staff in sunset park also know what they're doing. I love them all!!
