Always a great experience each and every time I come here!! Everybody is always so kind and willing to get you the best vision care possible. This place is a 10/10, I will definitely recommend to my family and others
Super fast! Everyone is professional and friendly. Very comfortable atmosphere. Ram Optical was already affordable, but offering CareCredit makes good vision easy. Great job ya'll! I would definitely recommend this service provider.
What's important to know about Ram Optical is it does not have either an optometrist or opthalmologist on site. The person who is doing your eye exam is trained in vision but is not licensed to check for glaucoma or any other eye disease. They are curteous and polite, and before anyone gets an eye exam they sign a disclaimer which notes they cannot give medical tests or advice. The problem is, if you have any medical issues that are affecting your eyesight they cannot diagnose or make recommendations concerning them, other than to say you should see an optometrist or ophthalmologist for any such concerns. It's a bit misleading because they have the name and credentials of an ophthalmologist printed beside the entry door, which might lead one to believe there is one on site running things when that's not the case. It's simply for referal, said one of the staff members. Ram also can't offer advice as to whether one or more of the lens add-ons may not work or could be harmful for your particular needs. For example, I learned later from an opthamologist that "blue light reduction" and non-glare coatings I requested actually cancel each other out and "blue light reduction" is usually nothing more than a sales gimmick anyway. They did return my new glasses to the lab without argument but I'm still seeing some of the blue reflection in them that I don't think should be there. Ram did get my glasses back both times in a timely fashion. Price for my bifocal lenses plus a medium-priced frame was over $700 for one pair.
