As a wee young lad in 1978, I got my first pair of glasses in this building when it was still Texas State Optical. I saw Dr. Warford and Dr. Hutto through the years. I saw Dr. Hutto and the new location on Garth. As the years went by and Dr. Warford and Hutto moved on and eventually passed on, I went to other places, but the revolving door of doctors was frustrating. There was no consistency or continuity of patient-doctor relationship like I had when Dr. Hutto was my main provider. I decided to go back to where it all began. Dr. Moderhack is a wonderful doctor with amazing bedside manners, he’s one of the only doctors I’ve ever had that I felt 100% comfortable with. Dr. M caught swelling of my optic eye & worked with a neurologist to diagnose me with a more rare neurological condition. It was an emotional experience & he was very kind. The only reason it’s not a 5 star experience is because I had a few miscommunications with staff over paperwork / referrals. I needed a medical referral from their office & it took a long time to get. I would return again solely for Dr. Moderhack.
