“If you find the dentist to be a stressful scary place that causes your anxiety to hit it's peak, you need to try out Dr. Dennard and staff. He is the most nicest, calmest softest spoken dentist I've ever come into contact with and I've had many as I've lived in many states being in the military and had numerous Navy dentist up in my mouth working on these teeth over the years.I also can say that I have the experience to back my claim, I.E. one implant, five root canals and 6 crowns. I've felt the pain, stress and anxiety of other dentists. Case in point, I just had a crown done yesterday and Dr. Dennard gave me numerous moments in between drilling to just pause and breath. I actually found myself not shaking as I normally do waiting for that hit of pain that I usually experience.Even when he was numbing me up, I never once felt the "Poke" of the needle. He paused with each poke to make sure the previous numbing would cover the next poke of the needle. How thoughtful and caring. No other dentist has ever done that. They just slap that pink numbing stuff in there and then say, "You might feel this poke." and we always do. BUT, not with Dr. Dennard! He ensured that I felt absolutely nothing and I had nothing to be nervous or feel anxiety over.The staff are the sweetest bunch of gals as well. I have never felt like I was just some person that was bothering their day. They always have my utmost care in their forethought when working on my teeth and gums. Always asking if I'm doing ok and if I need a break or a rest. Always asking how my kids are doing and how's life.I DO still dread going to the dentist, lol, but that's just my past trauma rearing it's ugly head. However, I always leave there kicking myself for getting myself all riled up with anxiety because it's always a good visit and a relief when everything went great! I recommend Dental Arts of Bay City to anyone I can.“
