Opens at 8am. Line starts to form at 7am. Line is out the door by 8:13 am. There is about an average 2hr wait in line from the door to the apostille counter. They honestly need to pay & provide more Apostille agents. There is a UPS Notary around the corner about 2 blocks away. Your documents must be notarized before obtaining an apostille. UPS opens at 8:am also. So if you didn't get your notary done you're guranteed a min 2hr wait in line. Also at the website there is a downloadable form you can fill out and print that you will need by the time you get to the counter. I'm actually shocked at how efficient they are for a government office. I walked in for apostille services on a busy day-- I was 30th in line. It took barely over a half hour to be seen, and a few minutes to process my documents.
This building is beautiful. There was no line when I first arrived and then a very short line at 3:30pm. It was very cold and rainy today, so that might be why there was no line. I give 5 stars because they did their job of not accepting my notarized documents at first as the first notary I used didn't do it correctly. That is their one job, to make sure the notarized document is true. If they bent the rules and accepted it incorrectly done, that would defeat the whole purpose of this apostille government service. Thank you for doing a great job!!
