XuXu has been doing my nails for almost 6 years. Her work is the absolute best!! She can re-create any set you see on the gram. Xuxu truly is an artist!

I’m always trying new nail places as it seems wherever i go when i go back it’s more expensive. I went to sweet nails for a simple pedicure - i selected the most basic one for $35 and i asked for gel polish. She asked if i wanted the cheese grater on my feet and told me it would be an extra $20. She was also asking about my jobs and how much money i make and my hourly which i think is completely inappropriate. when i double checked that she was going to be using gel she told me that it would be another 20 dollars extra. So my pedicure when from a 35 dollar pedicure to $65. i’ve been to other paces that only change maybe 5-10 dollars extra for gel. not only that she did not do a very good job my toenail polish looks like i coulda done it myself for a better looking outcome. When it came time to pay she asked me if i was going to be paying cash or card for tip. I straight up told her i didn’t have money and after payment i left. So if you are interested in coming here this was my not so great experience and i would not recommend it.

My mother lives close to Sweet Nails & Spa Nail Salon, so we thought we would give it a try. Boy, did we regret it! Apparently, there have been recent changes in management, so they are rebranding themselves. Supposedly, the workers told me that the previous company went under due to too many client complaints about worker behavior and bad nail jobs that couldn't be fixed. Well, not much has changed, let me tell you.

I went to the newly rebranded salon two months ago, and Henry was such a kind and talented nail tech! If you decide to go here, please see him! But yesterday, I had a young woman do my nails. (Also before I went to her chair after my pedicure they kept laughing and telling me maybe it’s a good idea if I wait to see another nail tech…as If this young woman had problems. ) I was concerned but after I looked scared they assured me that they were just joking? Very odd.
I met this woman, and I kindly asked if she could do dip nails, and she seemed pretty confused. So, I kindly said, "If you prefer, I can just come back and see Henry another time if you don't think you can do it. No worries." She assured me she could do it, so we proceeded with the service.

As the service went on, she became increasingly agitated and aggressive, scoffing at me, making comments about how if she messed up, I could just go see Henry, and laughing. The whole time, I remained quiet. Finally, I asked her, "I'm sorry, are you okay? You seem like something is wrong." She said, "I'm mad because you offended me by asking if I can do something and because I'm sick of Henry's clients asking if I can do what he can do."

At this point, my nails were half done, and I had no idea what to do. I tried to de-escalate the situation by saying that the nails were great and that I didn't mean to hurt her feelings; I just wanted to feel comfortable. She remained silent but would scoff or make fun of my nails every few minutes after our conversation.

Eventually, I calmly told her that she was acting very unprofessionally by being so rude to me when I had been nothing but a normal client, and her boss was right behind her. Then the waterworks started. She began telling me how she's afraid of clients being mean to her, how someone threw dipping powder at her last month, and that she is scared. My mother and I understood that she was completely making up excuses.

We eventually left feeling very icky understanding fully that this rebranding won’t be saving this business with its streak of rude nail techs unless the owner addresses the real problem!

So slow!! I got to the point where I just asked for no polish at all for my pedicure I had already been there an hour and it would have been relaxing if she would’ve been doing the job properly for the quality and service it’s way too over priced. I paid 42$ and walked out with no polish. For a BASIC manicure.

This is the first nail salon I’ve gone to where they didn’t tell me the prices/give me a menu when I was getting my pedicure done. It was $55 for a gel pedicure after my new customer discount and I feel like that price is kind of steep.

I just went in to get gel removed because my usual place was closed. I have such rough nails with gel still on them and they were “filed” but have been scratching on everything. They charge $15 for that. Nice enough people, but I am poor enough to have chosen to do this to my own nails at home if I’d known.
