Shag Noir is the best salon I’ve ever been to, and Minnie is truly an artist. I’ve never had a bad experience after coming for years, and have learned more about how to take care of my hair and style it for my look than I have anywhere else. You won’t regret it!

I adore Minnie and her salon so much. I came to her about 3 years ago with a lopsided haircut, edges that were✌🏾and a desire to chop it all off because I just hadn’t found a good salon in Austin. Man, after my first appt I was full of hope and joy. She spoke life into my hair and into me! She encouraged me to listen to my hair washing needs rather than the 2wk general prescription that Black women were raised to believe. She spoke positively about my hair and reminded me to do the same (this is a big deal for those with hair trauma and coils). 3 years later and my hair is in the best shape it has ever been in. Best haircut of my life! I have curly hair and I have had many “curly hair experts” through out my 40+ years but without a doubt Minnie has really given me the best shaggy cut, my curls look awesome and it frames my face just perfectly!
