Perma Pier is the way to go if you’re looking for a company that will honor their warranty. The warranty manager, Jonathan Hart reached out and addressed some concerns I had immediately.

After writing a different review, I took some time to evaluate Perma Pier's work and think about it. Overall it's a mixed bag. First, the core of people seem excellent and knowledgeable. People like CJ, who partially oversaw the work were friendly, and seemed to know what they were doing. The pricing was fair for the work, but the follow up pricing on the plumbing problem caused by the work was predatory (see my review of Black Tie Plumbing for those details). The problems really start with the fact that Perma Pier farms out to contractors to do the actual work. It's impossible to determine how good the work itself was, though CJ showed some measurements which indicated the house had been leveled (and hopefully supported) (thanks!). The problems start with the finishing process and the details. First, it doesn't seem that the soil and foundation rubble were properly tamped back down into the voids created by the work. A pile of concrete rubble, rocks, and soil was left around around my entire foundation. They returned to tamp it down a couple days later, but it looks terrible and has destroyed part of my lawn. They also covered numerous irrigation spouts in the process. Amid the rubble are many bottle caps and bits of trash. The workers also filled my compost bin with their day's trash (they bagged it thankfully!). It's the little details that separate the mid or bad from the great, and the contractors did not quite get above mediocre for the actual work. They did restore some rocks and tarping and mulch, so there's that! I'm worried by the lack of proper tamping, and irritated by Perma Pier's partially hand's off approach with zero follow up inspections.

I needed foundation work and was very nervous about it. Julio and Kevin and the team that came to my house did a great job. They were so professional and efficient. It really calmed my nerves. They were very responsive to all my questions as well.

William Grazecki might be the most helpful person I've ever met throughout my first home purchase. He came out and inspected my foundation to see if I needed to do anything to my foundation. At the moment, I do not need to do anything. However, he was the first person who showed me that the insulation falling down was potentially water damage after having 3 different inspectors (house and mold) in my basement/crawl space. He also made sure to point out other areas such as cracks that needed to be caulked and dirt levels that needed to be lowered to ensure water doesn't come through my foundation. He went above and beyond and for that I am so thankful. I highly recommend perma pier should you need a foundation expert!

William Saved The Day!!! Even while stuck at home with 2 young boys to get in his way, he was punctual, professional, and informative. He took the time to not only answer my questions, but to help me understand why, how, and what we could do to help. He covered all bases. Thank you very much William and Perma-Pier. - Johnny

Called to confirm my appointment and showed up right on time. William wore a mask and was very courteous. He explained foundation movement, examined my house and measured the height of the foundation. Told me not to worry about anything and told me that he wouldn't do anything. He could have sold me a foundation repair because I was very concerned about one area. He was honest and said that what I was concerned about was actually caused by a tree and it wasn't prudent to pay them to tear up my sidewalk and dig out under the foundation just to lower it an inch. I'm very impressed and will recommend Perma-Pier to anyone.

I hired Perma-Pier to repair the foundation on my house as the front needed to be raised back up by about 1.5." Everett Rathburn & his crew came out & worked harder than I've ever seen a group of young men work. They had to dig several 4-5' deep holes along the front of my house, which included removing shrubs that were deeply rooted & breaking up a couple of sections of the driveway. Most of time they were working in direct sunlight for hours without a break & continued working until well after the sun went down (with my consent, of course)! I am incredibly impressed at this crew's work ethic & professionalism. Everett stayed on top of the job & made it a point to keep me apprised of everything that was going on. He clearly has a lot of pride in his & his company's product & it showed! I would definitely recommend this company if you ever find yourself needing to repair your foundation!

I reached out to Perma-Pier in late 2016 after I had a Forensic Engineer investigate some cracks in my walls. The Engineer put together a remediation plan and recommended I work with Perma-Pier for a quote. Grant Dodson from Perma-Pier is who my contact was and he provided exceptional service. He would always take my call or reply to my messages promptly. I feel he is experienced, knowledgeable, and most importantly, trustworthy. He gave me straight answers to my questions and was always prepared to discuss different options and alternatives. Grant has come back to my house several times for check-ups and has always been a pleasure to work with. I absolutely would recommend them for anyone needing foundation repair.

William Powell came out and gave me a estimate and was extremely professional and knowledgeable this guy know his stuff, he also followed up with me numerous times and talked to me about my concerns. Samantha has also followed up with me and is extremely nice and professional. I got multiple estimates from different companies and am going to do business with Permanent-pier because of William Powell and my comfort level with this company. After the work is done I will give a follow up review to let review know of the results and how everything went.

Todd and his commercial division team did a great job of reviewing our engineer's remediation plan and putting together a strong bid for our foundation repair work in a timely fashion. One building required 80 steel piers and a moisture barrier up to 8' deep around the slab's perimeter. The second building required a moisture barrier. Every step of the way Todd and team did a great job of keeping us informed of their progress. They asked all the right questions and made it clear that their services are high quality and performed by W-2 employees. They offer a Cadillac foundation repair service and it's no wonder our engineer recommended their service. Unfortunately, the majority of my HOA board chose to go with a risky lower cost bid from a company unknown to our engineer and might be batting out of their league. Only time will tell if we get an acceptable outcome without a bunch of change orders that eat up the supposed savings. Todd provided a great insight about the foundation repair business that I will pass along. In the state of Texas these foundation repair companies do not carry any domain specific certification or licensing. So, make sure to get multiple bids and take the time to do your homework or you might end up getting, "Chuck and a truck", a bunch of delays and headaches, and a warranty that isn't worth the paper it is written on. I advise you give Perma-Pier call and get at least one bid from a solid company.
