The Van Zandt is hip with a cool lobby, and nice rooms. Located near the historical district, this hotel is the perfect location for when you want to be in the middle of the action. However, if you are a light sleeper, bring some white noise headphones or you will hear the bands on Rainey street at night. The staff at check-in were helpful and pleasant. The amenities were nice. I would definitely return when in town next.
Attended a wedding here. This is a FLIK establishment and it feels like it - a little institutional, kind of rushed, and with an identical menu to several other weddings Ive attended at FLIK-run hotels.
Wonderful hotel, location is close to Rainey street and other bars. Decor and ambiance is trendy without being too over the top. Happy hour margarita was delicious and music selection was great. Staff were accommodating and helpful when needed. Rooms are a tad small but for a downtown hotel it's definitely doable. Coffee shop in lobby had tasty coffee and pastries for mornings. Would recommend this hotel and hope to return to enjoy the outside areas and pool in the future.
