I sincerely hope this place has implemented drastic changes in the past 20 years because in 2004–they were a nightmare. They locked small children in “quiet rooms” with no comfort items, overmedicated them, stoled items from children who had so little to begin with, and did untold damage to vulnerable children. I genuinely hope that the place has changed but given that most of the reviews seem filtered or don’t come from those who where directly involved with their services—I have doubts.

Out of all of their Facebook posts exploiting the privacy of the children in order to bring in funds from the public, never once have they featured their "quiet rooms". The cement cells they hold small children in without so much as a blanket or a cot or access to water or bathroom facilities. Surely, they still use them since they ban one of their former victims for simply asking if they do.

There's a reason why, out of the thousands of children that have gone through the doors of Helping Hand Home for Children, you will not see positive reviews from them.And, there's a reason you won't see many negative ones either. This company has made great efforts to silence anyone who speaks out against them to the point of hiding their reviews entirely on Facebook the moment people began speaking out against them.Other reviews by children victimized by Helping Hand Home for Children never went live here because the harm they suffered at the hands of staff members was so horrific.
