About Good Dog Training

Good Dog Training offers relationship-based, force-free training for dogs of all ages, focusing on issues ranging from basic obedience to aggression. The training aims to help dog owners become the parents their pets need, emphasizing that the use of special gear like shock collars and prong collars is unnecessary for a happy dog. Clients have praised Rona for her effective guidance, noting significant improvements in their dogs' behaviors and confidence after just a few sessions. One family reported a positive change in their puppy's potty training and overall demeanor, while another found Rona's techniques invaluable for managing a more intense rescue dog. Many clients appreciate how Rona gently identifies behaviors that may inadvertently encourage undesired actions, leading to better relationships between them and their dogs. Overall, Good Dog Training is highly recommended for those looking to enhance their connection with their pets and achieve lasting behavioral changes.

Carrie is an amazing trainer and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Her work with my reactive dog is proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks!

Carrie is a great trainer. She helped us with our lovable but very energetic 15 month Golden Retriever, Cooper. Between being hyper and jumping on people when they walked in the door - to being quite the food thief stealing food anywhere there was food, we were getting quite frustrated. Carrie helped us teach him all the basics and he now has his own bed (which she had recommended and I highly agree with her) where he goes to "place" while people are eating. You can actually sit right next to him and he will maintain his position. Amazing. She also taught him to "leave" it and we have stopped having to purchase baby pacifiers since that was his favorite snack when my daughter's baby would drop one. We are going to have her come back in the spring to do outside training and more socialization skills. Hope she has time since she is sure to build a good clientele list. Thanks, again, Carrie!
