The guy at the front tonight had the worst attitude for no reason we were just trying to figure out guest passes etc and he was horrible from the jump and telling us stuff we never knew before and we’d were just trying to figure stuff out and he was just unhelpful and disrespectful from the jump.

Tons of barefoot people (gross. Athlete's foot much?)and people in sandals kicking off their shoes and are causing a tripping hazard for anyone carrying large amounts of weight. An injury will occur and they will be at fault as they are allowing this despite their policies. Nice outdoor gym I guess but the same issue happens there as well. And the smell of the chicken place is too tempting.

I've been a Gold's Gym member since 2001, starting at the Ben White location. I was working in San Marcos this week, so I stopped by the South Congress gym each morning. Brittany at the front desk made my day every time. She greeted me by name and did the same for everyone who walked in. Her positive attitude and energy made me actually look forward to coming to the gym. Gold's is lucky to have her!

Renee, the manager, is so patient and knowledgeable. She helped understand the benefits programs and expenses so well. I think I might sign up for this location even though there are two others closer to my house. I haven't decided yet but if I do, it is likely because of her. Overall it was cool, large and very clean.

Gym is great, equipment clean and well maintained, and they have a friendly staff. Harrison is one of the personal trainers At Golds. Harrison is a great trainer very helpful, and encouraging. Harrison is very motivating i highly recommend him.

Kinda bs where they take extra 20 dollars out of your monthly fee when it wasn’t even my fault. It’s quote on quote “the banks fault” and “it’s in the agreement “. Never had this problem before

I had no idea where to even start with weights. Training with Harrison has been the best at getting me started and I'm feeling confident enough in my form these days that I go on my own. Feeling as strong as ever close to 40! Also, I appreciate that this golds has a sauna and showers / lockers too, so I can come before work.

This place doesn't enforce wearing shoes on the equipment floor. Eww. Wish they would also ban people from using FaceTime or speaker phone and listening to podcasts/music on full blast without headphones, but given they don't care about footwear, it might be asking for too much. I try to go at the least busy times, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I can still work out, yes, but it's become a worse experience over the last year. Why have rules posted if you don't enforce them?
