TIAA customer service from their phone agents is NOT consistent. Their training program must be a joke. Some agents do NOT text you the verification code, some agents do NOT ask you all of the security questions, some agents do NOT ask you which stock you want a cash withdrawl to come from, some agents pry and ask you what the cash withdrawl is for (this can make it really uncomfortable for a caller). It does NOT offer me peace of mind when their phone agents (who deal with money) cannot follow basic protocol.
