Eric was awesome! I’m normally not the type of person to pay someone to work on my vehicles since I’m pretty mechanically inclined, but I had to bite the bullet and hire Not Your Basic Locksmith because I didn’t have the credentials needed to reset the immobilizer in my car. I had replaced the body control module on my 2017 Honda Civic Si and needed the new one flashed to my VIN, the immobilizer reset, and my keys re-paired. I warned Eric ahead of time that my car was probably going to be a total PITA—and that turned out to be 100% true. (Thanks Honda for making things difficult.) Because of that, Eric actually had to install Honda’s software on his laptop and come back the next day to finish the job. What impressed me most was that he didn’t give up or cut corners—he kept at it until everything was working exactly like it should. He stayed in good spirits the entire time and was honestly a blast to talk to while he was working. What really blew me away was the speed of their service. Within an hour of my first call to dispatch, Eric was already in my driveway ready to get started—and I live west of Fort Worth, just outside of Azle. On top of that, he told me he’d arrive at 2:00 PM, and he literally pulled into the driveway right at 2:00 on the dot. 11/10 service. If I ever need a locksmith or mobile programmer again, I’ll absolutely be calling Not Your Basic Locksmith—and specifically asking for Eric.
