I move for my job often and needed to establish an allergy Dr in Amarillo again. I wanted to see Dr. Biggs but had to see the Nurse Practitioner. Basically he had me cornered and knew it. He talked about himself for over an hour (yes I timed it). I was in a patient hostage situation. (I call these ticket hostage situations at restaurants) He told me how great he was, how he worked in the ER for so many years. He went on about how he had a patient who could not get into the Air Force because someone misdiagnosed her with an allergy but not him, oh no, he was the only one that knew differently ad nauseam. BEWARE OF THEIR BILLING PRACTICES. They charged me over $600 for allergy testing, turned around and billed my insurance and sat on my money for 7 months! I didn’t know until they wanted to charge me $150.00 for a regular appointment, even after I showed them I only needed to pay $25. The receptionist and office manager still had the ofdacity to tell me I had a small credit and that it “might” cover that day’s appointment. I investigated and sure enough, I paid and so did my insurance. As we speak they have not gotten my money, my records or my itemized bill I had asked for since February. We were not informed of their policies for shot scheduling and when we wanted to transfer our shots to a different clinic they have been reluctant to get the transfer done. They get 0 stars from us. We really like Dr. Biggs, however, her front office needs some education when it comes to service.
