I have trained in a lot of gyms over the years but John Machado’s is exceptional! Master Machado is a fantastic instructor and wonderful person. His Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teachings are world class. The students at this gym are also wonderful people and with no egos. I would recommend this gym to anyone at any skill level. From the very first time student to a top seasoned practitioner. I stopped in today, outside business hours, and had the pleasure of meeting Professor Machado himself. He was friendly, cordial, and inquisitive. I am in town for a couple of days and needed a place to train while on the road. He invited me to attend class tonight, which I did, and it was great. Professional instruction, timely communication, and first-class customer service. I highly recommend John Machado’s school.
This is the best jiu jitsu school that I've found in this area after trial classes at many schools. The school teaches to all levels from casual hobbiest to competitor and holds class several times a day. Everyone I've met has been friendly and has had good mat etiquette.
It is also part of a strong lineage. The Machado Brothers are an institution in this sport.
Master John Machado is the lead instructor and teaches most of the classes. He does an excellent job of providing a safe, fun, respectful and hygienic training environment.
