People care about how they are treated-period, point blank! How a manager handle a customer concern will tell you how the business is managed. Our Rotti male dog has been going here over a year and the most we have been told in reports- not negative-but he doesn’t like to get his nails trim and they tried different ways to but not successful, ok no problem, fine! We have always loved how he smells when shampooed for weeks. But TODAY was not that experience. We picked him up and I immediately had to let my windows down because he smelled awful. I called because I was prepared to turn around and take him back. I was told he was bathed. Understood ma’am but he doesn’t smell like it, her response was “ there’s nothing I can do about that.” I asked to speak to the manager, she return to say she can’t talk right but said bring him back and she will take care of it for you. I return and the manager met me at the door and said he was very difficult today we have video. The video was him caged to be dried and another dog was walking by and he started barking. I asked so what is the problem, he is a dog barking? She hesitated and said well he was being aggressive and tore down the hose to the dryers. Okay well show me that video I asked. She said o don’t have that, with a shamed look. I asked why didn’t they say that when my husband an I picked him up, we were told he did very good with shampoo(always reported good) they just couldn’t trim his nails(also tho same report). She said he has always been difficult. Yeah okay I believe she is intimidated by big Black dogs and his breed is a Rottweiler. Surely new news to me because ma’am this is not the only service provider in Abilene that we can use and why have no one else said this over a YEAR of service! She says, “ yeah you should go somewhere else that’s best.”
So your wish is my command.

I rarely write negative reviews. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I genuinely believe that if a business isn’t run well, word eventually gets around. However, our experience here was concerning enough that I feel obligated to share it.

We paid for our dog to stay an additional night specifically so he could receive the exit bath, since baths are not given on Sundays. Unfortunately, when we picked him up, he was returned to us soaking wet and strongly smelling of feces, with his bed completely covered in poop. When we asked staff what had happened, they acted as if nothing was wrong. We ended up throwing his bed away and giving him a bath ourselves as soon as we got home. This was not the bath we paid an additional $75 for, on top of another $50 for the extra night stay.
After his stay, he had diarrhea for four straight days and ultimately required a visit to the vet.

Equally concerning was how his medications were handled. His meds were returned to us in a plastic bag mixed with chewed pieces of ham (which we provide to help him take the medication), partially chewed pills, and pill pockets — which he does not like and which we clearly specified during check-in. At no point during his stay were we informed that he was refusing medication or having any issues taking it. In fact, staff reassured us that he had received all of his medications and he was well taken care of. Given what we were handed back, that is extremely difficult to believe.
I asked to speak with the manager at pickup but was told she was unavailable and that she would call me. After a full week passed with no contact, I called again and was told that she had personally checked on him all weekend and before pickup, and that he was clean — therefore no refund would be issued.

Between the condition he was returned in, the lack of communication regarding his medications, and the way this situation was handled afterward, this experience was incredibly disappointing. If I could give this “resort” zero stars, I would.

My two dogs are always very well cared for when they stay. I do wish they had better communication about how they behaved, or if they got to play with others, but that's my personal want.

I’m in disbelief. This is the second and last time I’ll be coming back here.

First experience consisted of my 5 year bernedoodle being there from 7am until 5pm and I had to come pick him up unfinished. No explanation. Was asked to pay the full balance but I asked for the manager and I was given 50% off the services for the troubles. Received a call the next day to bring him back to finish the job. Brought him back and he was finished and looked great. The drive back and forth was inconvenient but figured we would give them another chance.

Second experience…I drop him off at 7am. Received an email that he was done at 3:30 pm. When I arrive, the front reception manager asked if they had talked to me about the grooming. I haven’t been informed of anything other than he was ready. When my dog comes out from the back, his front legs were barely touched. They tried explaining that he didn’t like his legs touched. In the picture shown, his back legs look fine. I’m sorry, but we’ve been having him groomed since we got him as a pup and have never had this issue. I was given a $10 discount for my troubles. He was brought home like this. Won’t be back.

The owner is very disrespectful and can not control his emotions. He treats his employees like the crap on the bottom of his shoes . He is racist sexist and Hates the gay community. This is the absolute worst place for your children to work and for you to send your fur babies .

Poor customer service, no reply/no answer to calls and questions. Had to fill out a lengthy questionnair to sign up my pets for boarding and then Suitelife CANCELLED the reservations! Still no response from them.

Always gives my corgi the best haircuts, I’ve never been disappointed with how they styled her hair. The furminator has helped me maintain shedding. They are so sweet to my dog and extremely friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend Suite Life enough.

I took my beautiful boy to get fixed, the vet and all the staff were super nice and made what was initially an anxious experience into a very smooth one, the boy healed up splendidly and is happy as a clam now that he's not all high-strung on hormones

Please do not send your babies to Suite life!!!! We had our boy boarded there for a few days. Outside of them calling him the wrong name and sending me incorrect feeding updates, this is the biggest issue we had. Our boy, Polu was returned to us with a leash burn around his neck. When I asked them what happened they claimed they didn’t know since the team left ZERO notes about him during his stay. They claimed they were overbooked and too busy. Polu came home completely traumatized. Pooping in the house, hiding in his kennel, not eating or drinking or even cuddling with us. I called them multiple times during the week to get answers and each time the person on the phone called him the wrong name. Finally spoke to manager (Adia) who checked the cameras, she said they didn’t use the harness we provided (he was already wearing it when we dropped him off) they instead removed his collar and harness and used a slip leash. Which is NOT recommended for frenchies because of their build. He wouldn’t allow them to use the slip leash because he was too nervous and anxious. HOWEVER one walker was able to get the slip leash on him and walked him. Polu stopped walking at one point and the walker DIDNT take notice to Him sitting AND CONTINUED TO WALK WHILE HE WAS SITTING 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I was told he didn’t even get outside playtime because they were overbooked. They also don’t send pictures of your babies unless you pay extra for it. Which is actually ridiculous. I will never know what really happened to my dog because of their lack of communication. I got an email update on Saturday saying he didn’t eat (which was the last update I ever got) but the team there said that wasn’t true. I’m sure a lot of you have great experiences there. But I seriously hope the rest of you to reconsider taking your animals to this place!!!! We usually board him at his vet, Big Country. And I understand he was in a new environment and that in itself is stressful. However I wish they took the extra care into making this situation be easier for him instead of them telling me I needed to pay extra for the extra attention. I wanted my money back for all the hassle we are having to go through! Spent $150 just for us to take him to the vet to get him checked out? For him to get sick for a week? For him to be traumatized? For no accurate updates? No picture updates???
