Erica was amazing!! She did a scissor fade and it turned out very nice. She was great to talk to and even gave me some tips of local places to visit while I'm in town. She's such an asset to this location.

I always get stuck with slow barber—45 minutes for the most common men’s haircuts. This time a lady didn’t understand what I mean by short in the back. So after 15 minutes when only short bangs and a slightly trimmed long cut on the back, I walked over and showed her a picture. She scoffed and said that would be a 2nd haircut implying double the price maybe. And she pushed back. So I asked again and gave up hope and walked away when she gave me a mean look. After 45 total minutes she showed me short and front and long sides opposite of the normal picture I showered her. I stopped another stylist Roxanne who was just finished with someone else and begged her to cut the hair to finish it according to picture. She did the haircut in 15 minutes. Roxanne helped solve this problem of another bad barber on the staff. Thanks for Roxanne for stepping in and solving this!

Keep your ask dead simple here, they’re not too motivated or customer-oriented. Waited 45 minutes for a cut, barber refused service because I asked her to follow instructions she considered too complicated.
I got the vibe she was somehow personally offended that I wasn’t willing to just let her let a rip on my hair without talking about it first. For the record what I asked her was written for me by another hair stylist I can’t see while in Nashville:
“I want a - Short textured quiff - Please keep the front/top long enough to lift up and back, around 2.5–3.5 inches, with the most length in the front. - Please don’t over-thin or shred the top because my hair gets wavy/frizzy. - Please clean up the sides with a low-to-mid taper, about a #2 or #3 blended, tighter around the ears and neckline, but not a skin fade and not disconnected.”
I tip $10 on a $23 cut frequently, so almost 50%, but I guess what I’m asking for costs $100 at a real salon or something?
