Merrill Construction Group did an outstanding job renovating our garage studio and installing a new driveway on our property. Hilson Merrill helped us envision a better overall design for the driveway with improved curb appeal and increased functionality. Project Manager Thomas Van Zandt was always responsive and kept us updated on each phase of the renovation project. The carpenters, masons and other subs were all very professional and friendly. We would definitely recommend Merrill Construction and would be pleased to work with them again!
We had been looking for a builder to finish our basement into an apartment for a family member, and after interviewing several local builders we chose Merrill for two main reasons: fixed price and professionalism. Most builders we spoke with were cost plus X%, and based on the horror stories we had heard from others about huge overruns we knew we wanted the assurance that fixed price brings. What also set Merrill apart was their professionalism, both in person and in presentation, giving a detailed price proposal that far outclassed the other proposals we received.
