Little Urban Vet Clinic

Took my sixteen year old dog here and my two word description of the business is. BEAUTIFUL DISPOSITION.

By far the best clinic in Nashville. Both vets are extremely knowledgeable, professional and their staff are very caring. All three of my pets (2 dogs and one cat) have had treatment from senior bloodwork, to sedation, diagnostics, illness treatment etc. They always follow up on how the pets are doing. They have animal (dog & cat) specific patient rooms. The clinic is open, inviting, has natural lighting, clean and friendly. It’s beside a parking garage that’s easy to access downtown and they offer parking discounts. They are patient people and try to make the experience enjoyable or as low stress as possible for pets. So grateful for Dr. Perkins and staff.

I have been taking my older cat to LUVC for the last few years and have been really happy with the care provided. The clinic is clean, comfortable and all of the staff have been extremely kind, empathetic, accommodating and helpful as my cat has had some health issues that required problem solving, early morning drop offs and last-minute appointments. I have never been pressured to get unnecessary services, and they are always upfront with the pricing and always explain all the options, especially if there are more economical priced medications/solutions; I appreciate the understanding of the cost of care on the owner. I would highly recommend LUVC to anyone in Nashville.

The team at LUV are fantastic with my cat. I've brought her for the past 5 years to see Dr. Walton, who is always great with her. The staff are kind and gentle and do their best to make everything go smoothly. Both Drs. Walton and Perkins always take the time to answer all of my questions and thoroughly explain everything. Also, the staff always discuss pricing and the purpose of all procedures before doing them.

When my partner had to say goodbye to his senior dog, the team at LUV took the most care and comfort to help us say goodbye to her. They allowed us to come on a Friday evening and truly take as much time as we needed with her. They dimmed the lights, had candles, and even let her try some chocolate cookies. They worked closely with a local pet cremation service to provide us with nose and paw prints. As sad as euthanizing a pet is, LUV treated us with such dignity and kindness.

We are moving states, and I'm so sad to be leaving LUV and hope to find a vet as great as them in our new city!

I had such a great experience at Little Urban Vet Clinic! From scheduling to the actual appointment, everything was smooth and stress-free. The office was spotless and had a calm, welcoming vibe that immediately put both me and my dog at ease. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive—my dog loved them, and so did I! The veterinarian was amazing with my little guy, treating him with such care and patience. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for a compassionate and professional vet team!

I meant to go to this place, but I never made it over there. However, I can imagine it's a very nice place!

Never thought about taking the time to post a review here but a recent experience compelled me for sure.

I was recommended LUV when I got my puppy by a friend who's cat goes there. I had no idea what I was doing truthfully, however, from the first visit they have beat all my expectations. My puppy has some tough anxiety and is generally chaotic. They clearly explain all treatment, tell you whats needed if you're missing something, extremely transparent pricing, are a little too easy to reach (I end up texting random questions), the clinic itself is calm, separated rooms and I've never had to wait before. They auto-remind you for vaccines and preventions as well.

My puppy had an emergency last week and not only did they respond to me before opening, they got him in within 40 minutes of contacting, kept me informed at every step throughout the day, handled a smooth transfer to a hospital for more care, and kept me comfortable letting me sit with him in the back, offering water, and keeping me calm. They've responded instantly with follow-ups since, took him in for a follow-up when I just needed more consultation, and have made this experience a little less miserable than it is.

Choosing a vet was an untrusting process as I've experienced vets that truly do not care about your dogs wellbeing and just want money. LUV is the complete opposite. I'm convinced the staff doesn't know my name but the second they see my dog they greet him, pats, treat attempts, everything. My dog is my life and LUV has been the best possible vet for him. It has been the same staff since the first day I went in and in moving soon, I'm genuinely sad and worried the next vet just wont be as excellent.

My appreciation for the entire staff at LUV from Dr. Perkins to all the techs can't be put into words. If you are looking for the best vet in Nashville it's hands down them.

Big fan of this place. Communicative and transparent about pricing and procedures. Kind to the animals and to the people. Don’t let the fact that their logo/branding looks like it was ripped from 2012 tumblr keep you away lol—they’re reliable and lovely! I’ve moved across town, but I still make the longer drive to LUV.

My German Shepherd puppy Zayn met everyone today for his first appointment. We enjoyed the techs and Veterinarian and Zayn behaved well. The Vet took the time to help me learn about my breed. What I love also is that it’s black-owned. I look forward to Zayn growing up and getting the best care here.

Best vet I’ve ever taken my fur babies too! Experienced. Inclusive. Friendly. Convenient(appointments weren’t weeks out). Consistent( same knowledgeable staff for YEARS-tells you something about the owner when retentions basically 100% at a small business). Cost effective!!(And you get everything Itemized and explained prior)
I can’t say nice enough things about LUV. Their staff kept me informed through my pups entire surgery and even sent a picture after she was finished and resting. It was such a personal experience which is so hard to find in a vet clinic and did I mention cost effective. Anyone who’s had an issue with this clinic should look in the mirror cause it’s nothing but good vibes in there.
