I have a house that was built in 1979 and I am having the front stoop redone because the original stoop has dropped about 8 inches.
Needless to say finding bricks to match a 45 year old house became an impossible dream, until I found Sabrina at Alley Cassetty in Cumming GA. When my wife and I walked in we had pictures of the brick and a half of an original brick, one look (I mean really, one look) and Sabrina walked my wife and I to a wall covered in brick sample boards and pointed to a brick. She told us that this was as close as they had to what we needed. It was a great match. Not exact, but I already knew that exact was out of the question, but very close. Sabrina recommended we take the sample board home with us to check it against the bricks on the house. We did and it was a great match for us.
The next morning I called and told her I wanted to move ahead with the purchase BUT I needed the bricks delivered by Friday because my mason was coming Saturday to start the work. She told me she would try. About an hour later my phone rang, it was the delivery driver asking if it would be OK to deliver the bricks that afternoon. I hadn't even paid for the bricks and mortar yet and asked if I could give him a check when he arrived and he said no problem.
The truck showed up at 1:00 as promised and by 1:15 he was on his way, the bricks on my driveway and the check in his pocket!
It was an easy, quick and wonderful experience all around.
