I’ve been going to Hot Yoga East Nashville for about a year now, and overall it’s a solid no-frills, secular yoga studio with fantastic instructors and challenging classes. If you’re mainly looking for the exercise and fitness side of yoga, they do that really well.
That said, the studio is very workout-focused and largely avoids the deeper spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga. There aren’t really Dharma talks, discussions around chakras, or much emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection that many people associate with a traditional yoga practice. Great place for fitness-focused hot yoga, but if you’re looking for a more holistic spiritual experience, you may want to explore other studios as well.
One thing that honestly surprised me was that they don’t provide mat cleaning supplies after class. In a hot yoga studio where everyone’s sweating a ton, that just seems like a pretty standard thing to have available.

i’ve had an unlimited membership since last summer and it’s been the best decision!! i started taking classes thinking i would stick with the unheated ones, but i’ve really gotten into hot 26 and heated power flow. i would highly recommend taking a class with alyssa, layla, and charlane. the studio has so many awesome teachers and offers a great variety of class styles— it’s been so fun getting to try them all.

If you're looking for a welcoming, clean, and professional yoga studio in the Nashville area, this is it. Having attended several other yoga studios over the past 15+ years, I can confidently say this one stands out for its incredible vibe and amazing instructors. I've been coming here for over a year and enjoy having a variety of classes to pick from - hot 26, vinyasa, sculpt, restorative. All the instructors are well-trained, supportive, and enthusiastic, making everyone feel welcome and appreciated regardless of their experience level. I truly could not pick a favorite instructor amongst the many on the roster, and I learn something new every time I step on my mat. Thank you HYEN for helping me keep my yoga practice fun and refreshing. Namaste!

Being a first time yoga participant I was so impressed with Taylor’s peaceful and loving class. She is a natural and everyone should have that experience with her! She was a delight! So very relaxing. 10 stars!!!

You know when you can’t bring yourself to get out of the car for a workout because you know the class is going to suck, even though the rewards may be worth it? I’ve never ONCE felt that for an Alyssa class! And they’re still plenty challenging and reap sooo many rewards. Her style is the most wonderful blend of motivating and understanding (as are her playlists) and she misses you when you miss a class. She’s the best of the best!

Just took one of my fav classes at hot yoga east with Miranda! I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now and I love this studio. I tried a bunch of yoga/workout classes when I first moved to Nashville and really loved the vibes at hot yoga east. Miranda is so welcoming and makes it a point to remember everyone’s names. Her classes always have the right balance of turning inward and challenging yourself. I have yet to take a class there that I didn’t like though!! If you’re studio shopping or just visiting, I can’t recommend this spot enough.

Really nice facility, showers and heated rooms. The only thing I didn’t like was blasting the lights during power flow other than that the classes were challenging, and the instructors were pleasant.
