Gene's Barber Shop

I’m always on the lookout for a great barbershop that knows how to cut my son’s curly hair. As a Mexican family, we also tend to look for Latino barbers because they often have experience with our hair textures and styles. I found this shop through Instagram, and while the price was a little higher than I’m used to paying, I know that a higher price doesn’t always guarantee a great cut. Took my LGBTQ daughter to get her hair cut after she saw them on TikTok and the barbers were nothing but respectful, kind and non judgmental they didn’t give a rats they treated my daughter with respect and kindness and got her fresh for her senior year in school ! Jose and the other team members all were knowledgeable and took their craft seriously with each client. Will be back !

Yesterday we took our son to genes and we didn’t have an appointment, I would recommend having an appointment because they are busy. We were still able to get him his first cut. Mind you my son just turned 1! So you can imagine how hard that is already to cut a baby’s hair that has no sense of what’s going on. He was doing his very best and honestly I don’t think if we would have taken him anywhere else, that they wouldn’t have done half they things to help. Between the haircut and the waiting it only took about an hour. And he did an amazing job! We are so happy to have found a good place to get our son’s first haircut 15-10 recommendations!
