I have been experiencing intense itching through the last trimester of pregnancy, now 3 months postpartum. I was diagnosed with uremic pruritus. Dr Long suggested I drink more water & moisturize, after I disclosed that I had a running list of things that I have tried ? None of which helped. She suggested repeating my labs, did not call to review them or the next steps.
At the same appointment one of the staff members held my baby, without asking, while I was getting my labs drawn. Very sweet gesture to try to comfort her, but very off putting.
I now have had the flu for a week, as diagnosed in urgent care. Asked for a prescription for sumatriptan. She said try acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. An obvious? Which has not been helping.
I also asked for a referral to a rheumatologist. She said we needed to review my full history as there needed to be a reason. Why would I spend my time reviewing my full history when the suggestion to drink water was going to combat my 6 months of itching.
Not the physician or facility for me!

Never have samr day appointments available for sick patients. Rude staff

Extremely rude office manager with no training in communication nor professionalism. Interrupts and tries to tell you what you said and did; when you didn't. Argues with your personal experiences claiming they are untrue. Before you can even clarify anything she's telling you what you did wrong. Literally said "your a liar" She won't transfer to their boss/manager to be reported. Tried to hang up on me in mid conversation. This was supposed to be the person you reach out to for help if an issue arises in your care with their practice.
Strongly suggest finding a different practice..
You can tell how much they care about you by their usual automated responses/ copied / semi- copied responses from other reviews. They just don't care. And will say anything to make you appear in the wrong. It is extremely disturbing coming from a doctor practice. They will not take accountability.

After reading a few reviews, it's clear that some of you all lack accountability. You miss your appointment, show-up late, and probably rude to staff, yet you want to blame the business. I have experienced nothing but kindness from the office staff. Yes, I've had to wait on hold when calling the office, I've also been in office and witnessed the front desk handling patients and the phone. I wasn't able to see my PCP and the office was kind enough to schedule me with another provider; my previous office would say, "your doc is out of office, oh well." Learn some compassion, patience, and realize the poor people are trying; especially the lady I witnessed last week being very rude because she was 25 minutes late to her appointment.

EDIT: The run-on sentences and lack of correct grammar in the response from the business are indicative of their competency. Seems a bit scary to be receiving medical care from them. There are countless negative reviews on this joke of an organization’s basic operations for a reason.
I missed the initial appointment with a primary care provider to get established at the practice - a simple honest calendar mistake. I called the next day to schedule the appointment again and was told “You are not allowed to join our practice if you miss an appointment and do not call”. Also, it took an immense amount of back and forth with the administrator to have her understand the situation.
By the way, they ask the patient to call the insurance company to check if their practice will cover you after booking the appointment. I’ve always been under the impression that it is literally the job of their billing / admin department to work with the insurance companies. Providing all standard Blue Cross insurance information is not enough and you have to spend the extra times. Beyond backwards.
For an establishment appointment. I didn’t call to reschedule beforehand because I thought it was scheduled for a different day.
I guess if you cause them to lose 15 minutes of labor time (my experience for these appointments) then you arent worthy of joining. Moreover the provider had an immense amount of time slots available on multiple days when I called originally. Wild business practices, glad they will not be providing me care.

I’ve been with ENFM since they opened ten years ago. Dr. Lewis has been incredibly patient and supportive. Mimi is compassionate and caring. I have read the reviews and I don’t understand the bad reviews. My doctor always gets back to me on the portal. She listens to me no matter how long I anxiously ramble. They have treated me with care and concern, whether my health issue is minor or major. I have never had a negative incident with any of the staff. But I also understand how busy they are, especially the front office staff, so I make sure to come in with empathy on their busy days. I remember they are human and that they have rules they must adhere to. I give them patience and then I receive kindness in return. I will continue to support this clinic for as long as I am in Nashville.

I’ve been a patient here for a bit and I really enjoy Dr. Lewis. However, the front desk is severely understaffed and lacking compassion. I had an appointment to order bloodwork for life insurance, only a couple months postpartum. My son had a blowout on the way out the door which caused a delay so I tried calling the 13 minute drive en route to the doctors to say I’d be late. I was on hold for 10 minutes until I pulled into the parking lot. I was 15 minutes late and they only offer a 10 minute grace period which is why I called to try and call but I’m always kept on hold at this office. I got in they said I was pass the 10 minute grace period I explained my situation as a postpartum mom hoping for some compassion but the office manager came up and kept reiterating that statement. I started crying cause my postpartum hormones have me overwhelmed. I explained that I was on hold and the office manager said no one was on hold that morning…….I even SHOWED HER MY PHONE TO SHOW THE OUTGOING CALL AND TIME THAT I WAS ON THE CALL. And she reiterated no one was on hold. I’m done. To call me a liar when I’m showing proof and having a postpartum breakdown is absolutely lacking all types of compassion and rude. It would be one thing if she offered me solutions maybe a later time, a different say but instead in the face of evidence of my outgoing call that I was on hold she called me a liar. I will not be called a liar. I’m finding a different office. If they had a patient portal maybe this place would be worth it for the doctors but their front desk is lacking compassion and staffing clearly.

I’m so grateful to have found Dr Carrier. He listens to my words and takes them seriously even while I’m crying(I cry in all dr offices ?) and in distress where other doctors I’ve experienced will completely dismiss me as just having mental problems. Well mental problems lead to stress which leads to physical issues and vice-versa. Dr Carrier knows this. He’s brilliant and especially understands women-specific issues. I’ve seen so many doctors and Dr Carrier has been the only one to take me seriously and has ordered all kinds of tests to figure out the issues behind my symptoms like a sleep study (where I found out I had sleep apnea), echocardiogram, heart calcium test (or something like that lol), and referred me to a wonderful gynecologist. He explains all my lab work to me in a way I understand, he’s very professional yet caring And is obviously trained in trauma-informed-care. He is also my father’s doctor. Daddy has dementia and cancer. Dr carrier treats him with so much respect and also addresses all of our concerns. It’s hard to find doctors like him. Also the front desk ladies and nurses are incredibly kind, helpful, and efficient. Always getting back to me and always greeting me with a much needed smile. I just can’t find all the right words to express my gratitude. I have so much love for them all.

Dr. Rozmond Lewis has been my doctor for over 10 years. I followed her from Stonecrest to East Nashville and now to Skyline. She has always trusted that I know my body and listened to me. She is attentive and compassionate. She has excellent bedside manner. The staff at East Nashville Family Medicine have always been kind, and it says something when a doctor's office does not have a high turnover. Most of the staff there have been there for years. I LOVE IT HERE!

Extremely caring and professional staff. I've witnessed some very aggressive people towards the receptionists but man are they tough and patient! I would have lost my temper but they were just super respectful- even to the disrespectful. I'm talking high quality, professional receptionists. They help guide you to the new location, make the office warm and welcoming. Just a very family atmosphere. Even with the tricky new location; it's worth the time and care from the staff compared to other locations. (( The practice is near Tristar Skyline Hospital. Use Google maps and follow the route exactly. You'll have to pass a display medical helicopter and cross an underpass where there are two long dumpsters, so it's one lane up a hill. It's the first building on the left. They are on the second floor at the very end of the left hallway. ))I'd remain cautious however with the Drs and their diagnosing. They are very friendly and kind...but the "doctor part" I've had a hard time with, honestly speaking. I had breathing difficulties and was told it was allergies. Turned out to be severe asthma where I need an inhaler every day. Also had stomach pains and was told it was gas/cramping. Turned out to be gallstones as I ended up in the ER in agony. Had my gallbladder removed. So a very scary, life threatening misdiagnosis...But they are a friendly and welcoming practice I still use and enjoy!
