“GFK construction has really taken care of us. They are fantastic. The job is beautiful, they put care into everything they did and it shows. Peter has gone above and beyond for us to make sure we are happy with the work they did.

They finished our floors today, and we noticed something small that spoke volumes about the kind of people that work at GFK. We have these little magnets around the house on our door hinges called “hinge heads”. They are small, mostly hand made, and serve only to bring a little magic to those looking for it. One of our closet doors needed to be removed so they could do the floors inside, and on this door was a hinge head of one of our cats. A crew member noticed it, and moved it to safety so it wouldn't fall off or get damaged. They didn't say a word, they just did it. We just happened to see it sitting on one of the shelves, safe and sound. And we think that small gesture speaks to the character of the crew.

“I did review forgot to put my name. I had house fire in May 2024 due to lighting. I hired McCabe Construction Chris Bonds to do job. I was going to hire another company but said it would take a little over a year, and McCabe Construction got me back in my house by end of January 2025. Chris Bonds was great to work with but his team under him no so great they would hang things crooked and Chris would have to get them back out to rehang it. I had a 2-year warranty so I got them back out in 2025 to do everything I thought warranty would do and they did good job and got it done. Now the cleanup crew who was in charge of cleaning out contents I would not recommend them at all. I had two jewelry boxes one had my class ring and my great grandmothers wedding ring which was sentimental to me i did not get back. I had a lot of premier jewelry which I did not wear it but it's not cheap I did not get back. I spoke to Maria about it and she said they put the jewelry boxes in my closet I have unpacked everything and no jewelry boxes someone kept them. The returned items I think should have been trash and kept things I thought I would get back. They had me in hotel for week so could not take items with me. Then a week after the fire they called me to come by and pick up clothes in garbage sack when I got their they were in bag wet and here it is May so I told them I did not want them did not know how long in bag before they called me just throw them away. I also had picture that was over 80 years that belong to my great aunt it was just a little wet I did not get it back I thought I would have gotten it back nothing wrong with it and I had serval friends who offered to purchase from me but never would I should have gotten that back also. They kept items I think should have been returned and gave back items that should have been trash they just had to produce numbers to get paid for contents. So use someone else for house contents but they are fine for construction job.“
