I did review forgot to put my name. I had house fire in May 2024 due to lighting. I hired McCabe Construction Chris Bonds to do job. I was going to hire another company but said it would take a little over a year, and McCabe Construction got me back in my house by end of January 2025. Chris Bonds was great to work with but his team under him no so great they would hang things crooked and Chris would have to get them back out to rehang it. I had a 2-year warranty so I got them back out in 2025 to do everything I thought warranty would do and they did good job and got it done. Now the cleanup crew who was in charge of cleaning out contents I would not recommend them at all. I had two jewelry boxes one had my class ring and my great grandmothers wedding ring which was sentimental to me i did not get back. I had a lot of premier jewelry which I did not wear it but it's not cheap I did not get back. I spoke to Maria about it and she said they put the jewelry boxes in my closet I have unpacked everything and no jewelry boxes someone kept them. The returned items I think should have been trash and kept things I thought I would get back. They had me in hotel for week so could not take items with me. Then a week after the fire they called me to come by and pick up clothes in garbage sack when I got their they were in bag wet and here it is May so I told them I did not want them did not know how long in bag before they called me just throw them away. I also had picture that was over 80 years that belong to my great aunt it was just a little wet I did not get it back I thought I would have gotten it back nothing wrong with it and I had serval friends who offered to purchase from me but never would I should have gotten that back also. They kept items I think should have been returned and gave back items that should have been trash they just had to produce numbers to get paid for contents. So use someone else for house contents but they are fine for construction job.
I had house fire 2024 Chris was guy I dealt with he was awesome got my job done and I did have few minor things they covered with warranty. I think Chris Bonds was great to work with his employees under him who did job not job not so great Chris and I had to stay on top of them they hung things crooked and Chris would have to get them to rehang items. Npw clean up team not impressed with them they gave me back items I think should have been trashed and items I thought I would have gotten back I did not. I had two Jewelry boxes, and I did not get them back or the jewelry I had my class ring and gold wedding band that belonged to my great grandmother and a lot of premier jewelry that is not cheap. they told me they put it back in my house in closet I never found them I unpacked everything I think they kept items Maria said they gave it all back well I never found it the jewelry boxes were not small either and they were sentimental to me. so have someone else clean out the house I was staying in hotel when cleaned out I had nowhere to put anything, so I expected it to be packed up and given back which did not get back. construction team I was happy with them got me back in quicker than other company I almost went said a year if not longer I was back in my house in 7 months. But their clean contents department do not use them. They called me to come go thru my clothes they had left them for me to go thru they were in wet garbage back I thought they in bag wet I do not know how long in wet bag before they called me to come get it I just left it said all wet probably mildew and mold growing in bag so I told them to just throw away. Due it was little over a week when they told me to come so how long in bag I did not know could have been in bag week or just put in the day, I went but did not want to go thru a wet bag of clothes.
Carlos and his team from McCabe Restoration did an excellent roofing job. The whole process was easy from the beginning to the end. He was honest and didn’t try to scam me as others had attempted to do. My family and I are very pleased with the work. We also plan to do other projects in the future.
