I would give it a very big negative number, considering that their contractors tear up the neighbors property that they are working on and don't fix it. Have been told that the neighboring driveway is not for their personal use.

It has taken me almost 3 years to the date to write this review. Reviews that explain and tell how terrible they were would not be helpful to future customers. Overall, the house is a good house. Which is why I gave them a 2. It is well built. However, the experience was the worst drug out experience. We went to AHP because they have them all over the country and would think they would be the experts. This was out first and last custom home. We thought they would be a better guide for us. They are not, so being prepared can make the experience less stressful. Especially if you have never done this before. So to help out future customers these are the things I wish I would have done to save a bit of money and work in the future of our home. These are things that I would expect from professional home builders to remind their customers about. But they do not. 1. Ask AHP for a list of items they will asking you about in advance. (A month in advance) This will give you time to really think about what you want. They want you to pick EVERYTHING in one day and by the time you spend 5 hours picking colors, cabinets, floors, windows, doors,..it is easily to forget about everyday functioning of your home. 1. Think about vents in your closets. Especially when they are in the bathroom. 2. Electrical outlets-walk around your current home and see where they are located. Where else would you want them to be in your home. 3. Appliances-If you do no want their line of appliances, I recommend having AHP install them in your home. Then, sell them to some family who may need them cheaply. You will make way more money than the $250 credit they will give you, and you will help another family in need.
4. Electrical switches inside or outside of the closets? In our house they put some on the outside, do not really understand why, but guess we were just so tired I did not even think about it. (Why did they not help with this?)
5. Drawers for cabinets in your kitchen. They offer really deep cabinets that are extremely difficult to get to the items in the back. I believe in one of the display items they have pull out drawers, (Just something to think about.)
6 Canned lights- I thought these were going to be the in ceiling canned lights, however, they look like the round push lights you have in a camper.
Since they do not have a program to give you a visual, I would recommend using AI if you need the visual help. I was so afraid and unsure of what it was going to look like when complete. The only visual I had was from the furniture store. They showed us the paint scheme and everything in our living room. Do not understand why AHP does not have this.
Finally, if you do not want something, DO NOT let them tell you they cannot do it. They can, they are just trying to cut their cost. They will charge you FOR EVERYTHING! If the surrounding neighbors complain about something in the road, AHP will charge you. 3 years later we are starting to fix the things we originally wanted that AHP said they could not do. (Example) I wanted a tub with feet and they said it was too long and would not fit. It fits just fine. They said they could not make our ceiling smooth, it would not be perfect. I am not looking at a vaulted ceiling that I hate.
Also: Please check behind them. We had to have our front deck and ceiling rebuilt, out hearth and fireplace were not in the correct place, had to rip a hole in our bedroom wall to fix. If there is mud on the carpets, make them replace it, the professional cleaning does not work.
If there is anything or other experiences that you could share for future homebuilders, Please add it. I wish something like this was available for me 3 years ago.

Don’t be fooled by these people, they don’t use pros to build their houses they use the cheapest builders they can find in the area.we were told by the manager in Kodak tn that they use their own people to build, they did use a less than ideal group to build my home.we were dealing with crooked doors and floors that were supposed to be taken care of ,that never happened.so we are still dealing with the floors and the and cracks in the walls due to the settlement of the piers.we never signed off on the house and they never came back.

My husband and I are considering having a custom home built. We stopped by the Kodak location today to look at a model. Danny Earley was on site and kind enough to walk us through the model and answer all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We also met Becky the construction coordinator who was able to answer a few more questions. We were impressed with this company and all the information we obtained.

We built a home with AHP in 2022 and they were great to work with. They went above and beyond even after our warranty ended to make things right. Would definitely use them again for home building needs.

I just wanted to take a moment to rave about a young man named Travis Douglas. About 2 weeks ago he called me to advise that he was over this way assisting the Franklin, NC office with some of their warranty work. He came to my house and we went over the list that needed to be fixed. He was very professional as he told me what would remedy each situation and completed to perfection each item on the list that he could fix. Very nice young man that wants to fix something right THE FIRST TIME. I worked 42 years and managed a lot of folks during that time. Please believe me when I say you have an asset with this young man and you would be WISE to keep him.

Our house burned down in March of 2025. We were at a loss and had no clue what to do, America's Home Place took our idea and made it a reality. Less than a year after our tragedy we were in our Dream Home. All of the staff there was helpful and understanding. I'd like to give particular thanks to Candice, we came in in a State of Shock barely was able to communicate our thoughts and wishes for our new home. She was patient and translated our broken ideas into the most beautiful place we could ever live. The whole team there was amazing. On the construction end of things Ethan was our general contractor. He was quick efficient and professional in every sense of the word this young man has a bright future. America's Home Place is a little bit more expensive than the cookie cutter subdivision housing. But what you are getting in return is number one, the best quality materials on the market. Number two a complete custom home building experience and finally, number three. Fast efficient well-constructed work. I would recommend this company to anyone! Looking to build a new custom home on their property.
