I moved into the area about two years ago and went to several different barbershops trying to find the right one for me. As soon as I met Justin, I knew I had found the place for me. Justin is not only a fantastic barber, but a genuinely good guy. Every one on his staff is. If you want a great haircut, good conversation, and a barber who genuinely cares about you, I can’t recommend Bearded Barber enough.

All the barbers were amazing ! Great atmosphere, friendly. Fun joking around . Everything you would expect . I went on the busiest day of the year . Day before Thanksgiving. Skylar who cut my hair and beard trim . Did amazing! Lined it up great . Owner was there , super friendly . Just a fantastic guy ! Would recommend this shop to everyone .

I realized I was in the wrong place when the owner asked me, “Who is Van Dyke?” THE OWNER?! That’s like not knowing what a crew cut is.
They do good work, but what I received was not the style I requested. I was dismissed out of the chair with a passive aggressive comment: “Now go home and trim it. I know you’re going to.”
When I called back to have it fixed, I was reassured that the owner would handle it himself, without the stylist who originally cut it. That was not the case. Upon arrival, I was met with another passive-aggressive comment when she said, “I’m proud of you for not trimming it yourself.” She then proceeded to make awkward comments from the corner of the room while the owner corrected the uneven lines and lengths. I informed the owner that the situation made me uncomfortable. He responded, in a comforting tone, that “it is always awkward,” but said nothing to the employee.
The kicker was being told I would have to pay for another beard trim to get the style I originally requested. The only step necessary would have been trimming the sides of my mouth to disconnect the mustache from the beard, that’s it.
Overall, the experience felt unprofessional. The only reason I am not giving one star is that the second visit was technically well done, but it still was not the style I wanted. It’s like going to a restaurant and receiving a perfectly cooked salmon when you asked for a filet, then being told you have to pay for another dinner to receive the filet. The entire experience left me frustrated and unsatisfied.

Would be 5 stars but the owner- who is never even there- got rid of Jenni. She has run that shop since way before I started coming there.
So anyone who came to the Bearded Barber just to see Jenni (like most of us) she’s now at Dapper Dandies on Broadway in Fountain City .. you’re all very welcome. Now go support our girl

Justin and Chelsea are the absolute BEST my boys love them, the new girl Skylar is great too the environment is welcoming, always laughing having a great time, they also have amazing products for guys hair and beards we love them we are so lucky to have a great barber shop serve the Straw Plains area 😊

Skylar trimmed and cut my beard and it was 10/10. I never let anyone cut my beard and she did a fantastic job. Will definitely return in a couple weeks. Definitely recommend if you need a professional hair or beard cut

I’ve been going to the Bearded Barber for about 1.2 years now and I’ve loved every haircut I’ve gotten. I’ve been booking all my appointments with Jenni. She’s really nice and always does an amazing job. Definitely recommend booking with her.

Came in yesterday for the first time. I had Chelsea M she did a great job on my haircut she was very friendly, great relaxed atmosphere 5/5 will definitely be returning.
