On November 18th 2024, that was the worse experience I’ve ever received from any braiding shop! I called early that morning to see if she “Mamy” could get me in, she asked for me to send a pic and she would give me a call back, she called me back and asked could I come the next day or is any other style I want, if so send a pic of another style, because that particular style take a lot of time. I never sent another pic, I was just gonna try again another time. She text me a hour later saying come in at 12 and confirm if I could make it. I text her back and called to MAKE SURE everything was set in stone and that’s when she told me, I could go ahead and come right then because her other client didn’t answer the phone. So I get there and stood up front for one 10 mins or more, while standing there….she walked thru the door “so she told me to come and wasn’t even there” and I told her I had talked to her earlier ect she said “oh ok, do you have the hair” I didn’t know that she doesn’t provide the hair anymore, that should’ve been communicated over the phone before I got there. I leave to go get the hair and once I made it back I waited 2 hours before she ever touched my head. Very very very unprofessional and rude and not respectful of others time. Not to mention most African Braiding shops PROVIDE the hair and have more than two to three workers esp when you’re promoting that you take walk ins. While waiting those two hours, she handed another client the blow dryer to blow her own hair out. I will never step foot back in that shop again!!! The other older lady that’s in there with her, don’t have a clue of what she is doing and work looked HORRIBLE!!! Plz don’t make Mamy a choice!! You will be better off going to Memphis to receive much better service.

Soo Soo Unprofessional. She Tells You One Thing On The Phone And When You Get There She Tells You Ah Whole Nother Thing And Jacks Up The Prices. She’ll Have You Come There And She Won’t Be There Nor Will She Call You To Tell You She’s Not There,.She’ll Cancel Your Appointment And Won’t Call To Tell You Dat Either. She Doesn’t Do Your Hair How You Asked Her To Do It,..But Still Wants You To Pay Full Price And The Hair Style Isn’t How You Wanted It. And She’ll Have Another Lady On Your Head Who Doesn’t Know What Daa Hell She Doing And Shouldn’t Be On No one Head. I Wouldn’t Recommend Anyone To Her! NEVER AGAIN!

Mamma’s Braids cause me to go to a Dermatology about my scalp. She braided my hair too tight now I have a very sore red scalp and I’m losing my hair. I will NOT be going back. Over Priced too! $120. 00 dollars for 10 braids. Service: Braids

This is the LAST TIME I WILL EVER GO HERE! SHOWED HER A PICTURES OF HOW I WANTED MY HAIR. CHANGED APPOINTMENT TIME 5 TIMES FINALLY GET THERE AND THE BRAIDEE START ON MY HAIR AND THEN FINISHED LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES TOOK 2 bags of my extra long hair!Told me I would be charged 120.00 because my hair is short the style Is ugly braids are not exact size and this is just half of it tried to get customers to agree with he but she was weService: Braids
