While the overall experience with Amedisys Home Health Care has been mixed, two staff members, Amanda and Jammie, have received praise for their compassion, knowledge, and dedication to patients. The rest of the staff could learn from their example. Additionally, a patient's family member, who has experience as a home health physical therapist, expressed appreciation for the care and compassion shown by the staff, particularly the RN, Carmen, who has gone above and beyond in providing excellent service and support.
My mother-in-law had knee replacement surgery on Sept 4, returned home on the 5th. Preston arrived on Monday the 8th. Preston was very patient with her, kind, and thorough. Amediays, you have an outstanding employee in Preston.
I worked as a Home Health PT for many years in another state, so I am the biggest skeptic and my standards are probably too high. My Mom has been receiving PT, OT, and nursing care for the past few months- and she has not been an easy patient, lol! But I am so impressed with the care and compassion the staff gives every visit. My husband, who had a stroke, has always been treated like family by their staff who have come to our home - Tara, Carmon, Brandon, Preston, and Rhonda have been very kind and considerate. Brandon was able to get him walking within a short period of time after a stroke, after I was told by the nursing home rehab staff that he would probably never walk, talk, or eat anything but pureed food. He was soon eating anything he wanted, and walked and talked. I recommend Amedisys.Home Health.
