Dropped our dog there last Thursday. The front room smelled horrible, when we walked in. That should have been our first clue. Woman at front desk did not acknowledge us, as she was talking to a customer in front of us. Finally, a man came in from the back and took our pup. Despite both written and oral instructions, , they did not give him his medications. The extra food we provided was gone. When we picked him up, he looked like a homeless dog. He smelled like urine. It was so bad, we had to give him a bath before he went in our house. It was a terrible experience and we won't be back. I have never smelled a kennel that was this bad.

I have been taking my dogs to multiple day care facilities, including both Franklin Waggy Tails for two years. I stopped going to the 96 location several months ago because it smells terrible, like urine. I told the, new at the time, owner about the concern. Got in a pinch today and had to take the dogs there. I was overwhelmed with the smell of urine and could not stand in the lobby. The Columbia location is good. 96 needs to shut down and deep clean or replace flooring and walls to clear up the issue. Never going back.

If I could give a 0 star I would. This place is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. They have gone up in price and neglected to inform me of this until the day before our reservation even though we had made the appointment 2 mos prior. When she called, she lied and stated that my dog had previously bitten off another dogs toe and that she would be required to charge me $25/day more. This felt like a money grab as she knew it would be hard for me to find another boarding option with such short notice. I own a Great Dane who is afraid of his own shadow and has never shown aggression toward any animal or person. He is the epitome of Scooby Doo so this “aggression” is inaccurate as she has never even met my dog. She was unapologetic and only placed all blame on the previous owners. Previous experience, before this change, was nothing but exceptional but I would never recommend using them now and will go as far as to say stay away!!!

The owner is unprofessional and talked about the previous owner in a negative manner. The rates and pickup hours were raised without any notification. During my pup’s boarding at Waggy Tails, she did not receive her meds while she was there. I called to speak to the owner who would not take my call. When I explained my disappointment to the staff on the phone regarding my pups care while she was there, I was met with an unconcerned attitude and no apology. The owner did not return my call. I will not board here again. Ever.

Since the new ownership took over this place has changed, and not for the better. Most of the best employees are gone. There is hardly ever anyone at the front desk fro pick or drop off. Instead you need to call a phi e number to let someone know you're there. On two occasions I didn't have my email hone on me and had to search for someone to help me get my dog! They need a bell or buzzer button that can be pressed to alert employees someone is waiting.I've been taking my dog here for a couple of years now, but I guess I'll have to consider a change.

Waggy Tails is my GSD Zeta's second home. I know she is in great hands here either at daycare or boarding. Everyone on the staff is terrific and treat our fur babies like their own. Love Waggy Tails!
