We had the pleasure of Nashville K-9 Board and Train our dog Mercedes. This is our first time having a Doberman and what a wonderful experience we had upon her return home. First off the location is perfectly set up in a normal neighborhood with all kinds of noises to help acclimate Mercedes. In addition the inside is set up like a normal home with rooms. He had the pleasure of having our dog, ruby, attend the 3 week boarding and training. This was no easy task for the crew at Nashville K-9. Ruby was a 5 month old English Bulldog that is deaf. So, the normal techniques of voice commands were not going to work.
Challenge accepted by the K-9 team and boy did they deliver. They even did this during the ice storm in Nashville. Not only does Ruby have better discipline, but she also has a better temperament, and we have three other dogs in the house. She acclimated pretty well when she came back. Our 6 year old rescue is a brand new dog after their 3-week board and train program. He became increasingly anxious, unpredictable, and territorial around people outside our family after we had kids. Nashville K-9 took the time to really understand our concerns and build a training program that would help him (and us in return). Our dog made more progress than I ever could have imagined and clearly bonded with all the trainers. Their love of dogs (and expertise) is amazing and it made me so comfortable leaving him.
