Center of Balance

I was visiting my son at TTU and after hurting my back more at the hotel (I work in Healthcare so my body was already sore lol) I was in desperate need of a massage! I decided to look on Google and go down the list and everyone was booked up while I was in town! I called Center of Balance and not only did she work me in, she was understanding of me being late and took her time getting to know me/what areas I was needing work. I scheduled a 60 minute massage, but I know she worked longer than that when most actually shorten your time with paperwork/questions/and getting set up which surprised me! She was very detailed and did hit all my problem areas and more I wasn't even aware of! She done wonders for my poor back.. she was very professional and friendly which is also a bonus! And the price could NOT be beat!!
Wish I lived closer and could see her on her a regular basis, I'll definitely drop in again on my next visit!

This was an interesting experience. I’ve had massages my entire life, and had an expectation going into this massage expecting a very similar experience to the other massages I’ve received.

I was very surprised when I walked into the office. The front desk had papers strewn across them everywhere, I decided to look past that and continue with the experience. The massage room itself was messy, unorganized, and not clean. There were bugs stuck into the carpet in the corners of the room & the room had a basement smell to it. There was stuff stacked everywhere in the room. The table was not prepared for the massage, when I walked into the room she pulled two pillows out of a closet and put them on the table. The sheets were very very old and dingy- I honestly didn’t know if they had been cleaned. I was very exposed the whole massage.

The lights were left on the entire time & the music didn’t get turned on until halfway through. We talked the whole massage, which wasn’t my exact preference. I just don’t think this experience was worth the $60.00 it cost me. At 30 weeks pregnant this was a sad experience for someone who deeply needed to relax.

I’ve been to Center of Balance a couple of times now, and overall, it’s been a really pleasant experience. Each time I’ve left feeling more relaxed than I have in my entire life—it genuinely felt like someone handed me a brand new body. Whatever stress or tension I came in with, it was completely gone by the time I walked out.

Another huge plus is the pricing. I did my research, and their rates are the best in town without sacrificing quality. You definitely get a great value for what you’re paying.

That said, I do have one consistent complaint, and I’ve noticed I’m not alone in this—many other reviews mention the same thing. The massage therapist talks way too much during the session. After my first visit, I was already dreading the small talk the second time around. It really interrupts the experience and takes away from the deep relaxation they’re otherwise so good at delivering.

A simple fix could make a big difference here: include a checkbox on the intake form allowing clients to indicate if they prefer a quiet session. That small option would go a long way in making the experience even better.

Despite that one issue, I’ll definitely be back. The results speak for themselves, and with a bit of refinement, this place could be unbeatable.

Awesome place

Went for treatment and she hurt me worse then before I came in she's super rude and not a place you want to go.

Went for massage therapy not long ago. Do not go here for any reasons unless you want to chance getting scabies and bedbugs. They lady is super rude. And it's super dirty in the office. I've spent thousands on scabies treatments and currently working up a court case. PLEASE FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Solid massage, great price. Lots of good information. Donna was sweet and on top of giving both my husband and I extra time, we left with some sweet potato starts.
Both my husband and I got massages and felt so relaxed afterwards.

If you're looking to be talked to about milk and cows for 20 minutes straight, this is the place for you.

I wasn't draped the whole time. Donna did not stop talking, at all. It was not relaxing. I didn't enjoy the Hep B vaccine debate she attempted to initiate with me on attempts to convince me not to get it for my new baby.

I wasn't comfortable on the table at all. I was there for a prenatal massage. I literally had to direct her on what to massage. She dug her knuckles into my lower sides and it hurt. I kept saying it hurt and she would move away but go back to that same move.

She dug her fingertips into my butt cheeks. That hurt. 0/10, do not recommend.

If you want an anatomy lesson and learn about milk, have at it. If you want relief and to relax, keep looking.

I've had massages both for medical reasons and just to relax for decades Donna gives the best massages I've ever had! It hurts but once she's done I feel soooo much better! I'm having surgery next week so I want to be totally relaxed and have all the kinks worked out! If you are looking for an amazing massage Donna has majic hands and the strength to work out whatever it is that's bothering you! I won't go to anyone else. It's work every Penny!

Alana was amazing in finding out where my tension and knots were. She knew how to help better than I knew how to explain it to her. the room was very relaxing.. She was very nice, and the massage was amazing. I will be back as often as possible!
