“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Cesar and everyone at The Fade Room! My son has a potential autism diagnosis, and before his appointment, I explained to Cesar that my son would need a lot of patience and understanding. Cesar didn’t hesitate for a second. He was willing to take on the challenge with kindness and compassion.
My son puts up a pretty big fight when it comes to haircuts, and unfortunately, because of how difficult the experience can be, we’ve had barbers either refuse to cut his hair or make it clear they wouldn’t want to work with him again. My son hadn’t had a haircut in a year because of how challenging the entire process has been.
Cesar was different. He was incredibly patient, gentle, reassuring, and understanding throughout the entire haircut. My son fought the process the whole time, and there were moments when it was extremely difficult, but Cesar never became frustrated or made us feel uncomfortable. Other barbers even stepped in to help however they could, and every single one of them was so kind, patient, reassuring, and loving toward my son.
When the haircut was finally finished, I honestly expected Cesar to tell me that he wouldn’t be able to continue working with my son in the future. I even told him that I completely understood if he didn’t want to take on another haircut like that. Instead, Cesar reassured me that he would love to continue working with my son and even gave me advice on things we could try to make future haircuts easier for him.
That meant more to me than he probably realizes.
Cesar has been the most patient, understanding, and kind barber we have ever dealt with when it comes to my son. He treated him with dignity and compassion rather than making him feel like he was a problem or a burden. That kind of patience is something I will never forget.
And The Fade Room is an awesome barbershop! They even have a kids’ table with coloring books, fidget toys, and other things to help keep little ones occupied and comfortable.
If you have little ones, or if you’re simply looking for a great barber, I highly recommend Cesar at The Fade Room! My son walked out with a fresh haircut after going a year without one, and considering the circumstances, Cesar did an absolutely amazing job. My son looks as handsome as ever.
