My 2 days there were great. I'd go back. Service on point. Pool was relaxing. Very clean, although room had a slight sent. Not off-putting enough to complain, but enough to mention here. Close to everything.
Walkability: Everything is walking distance. It's in the heart of downtown.
Front desk excellent. Breakfast is good. Housekeeping is not good at all. Did not clean my room. I asked a housekeeper for service, and it was not done. Later, I saw her and asked again and said I was not on her list. I had to ask for clean towels. I can see from other reviews this is a long-standing issue. I wanted the convenience of being in the historic district, but really this hotel needs to bring its standards up or risk going out of business because the historic district has many unoccupied buildings and is a bit of a letdown itself.
Friday June 28 I stayed at this beautiful establishment. I had previously stayed there in March. Everything was perfect. About 9:30 pm I decided to go down to the bar to get some food and a cocktail. There was about 3 people sitting at the bar. When I approached the young lady to order, she told me that I can only order wings because she was working alone. I was taken back by that. We left and got some food elsewhere. When we came back the lady was standing at the door smoking a cigarette and had the nerve to tell my husband that she would've made my food. I was not going to settle because she didn't want to do her job That was my only issue.... read full review
