The CURRENT TRANE XL1400 heat pump system that I am replacing is TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OLD now, (the data plate on it says Mfg. Date 2/98 and it was installed early AUGUST 1998)....and the MAIN REASON that I am replacing it now IS because there is a leak in the system, (maybe multiple, due to its age)....and with production of R-22 refrigerant already phased out, recharging and testing this heat pump system, is like throwing money away, due to the the scarcity and HIGH PRICES of R-22 refrigerant, IF your HVAC company can even find some!!! I think that a 25 year old heat pump system says ALOT about the quality of the product line that Boykin Air Conditioning Services has available for its customers. Not only that.....I have had very few problems with this system over its lifetime, and Brian Boykin, and his maintenance folks at Boykin have provided QUICK response and RELIABLE repairs. I just wish that choosing a NEW Heat Pump system for my home NOW, was as EASY.......as writing this review for Boykin Air Conditioning Services! Choose Boykin Air Conditioning Serviices. You WON'T be disappointed!!!!!!!
I had a young man do AC work today on my main unit , his name was Tom, from Boykin ..he was polite, sweet to my huge dog and did a fabulous job. I was outside trimming up my creeping bushes on the side of the house so I can make sure that they were not in the way of the AC units and etc..and he came up and had clippers and started clipping for me after he was done with all the work he did 😳 he got here at like 8 AM something and did not leave until almost 1:00 PM He went above and beyond. Good people. Good company.
