“Chel was absolutely amazing! My friend and I walked in without an appointment, and she still made time to fit both of us in between clients. She was so knowledgeable about hair and immediately knew what would work best for us. She gave us the perfect haircuts and took the time to explain styling tips too. She even showed us how to curl our hair with a flat iron and recommended over-the-counter amino acids to help promote hair growth.

What honestly impressed me the most was how observant and knowledgeable she was. My friend is currently undergoing treatment for melanoma and has been dealing with extreme hair loss after being very sick recently. Even after speaking with doctors, she still hadn’t really gotten clear answers about what could be contributing to it. Within just a couple of minutes of examining her hair, Chel noticed signs that made her ask if she had been seriously sick lately and if she had been experiencing fevers or possible hormonal-related issues — all without knowing any of her health background beforehand. It was amazing to see how much experience and understanding she had just from working with hair and scalp health every day.

Only issue I could see with some, was the language barrier. We google translated our entire conversation from start to finish, which made it work.
She even washed and dried my hair and let me tell youuuuuu, she massaged my scalp and scratched it like no other.. lawd ?
She did an AMAZING job with my hair. We cut about 14 inches off, did layers and now it feels healthy again. I would recommend this place to anyone.“

“Ms. Sophia is truly a gem! She is not only incredibly talented but is also super sweet, so encouraging, and professional. Last year, she braided my hair in single braids over my locs (which I’ve had for over 5 years), and they lasted me over 3+ months—and still looked amazing the entire time!

Fast forward to now—July 25, 2025—I booked Ms. Sophia again to do my single braids over my locs for my nursing school graduation, and let me tell you, I am absolutely IN LOVE with my hair! The braids are flawless and beautiful. I have been getting nonstop compliments on my hair. Most of all people are incredibly shocked that she braided my hair so amazing over my locs.

“I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 15+ years and I really never want to get them waxed. I was so happy I found Glam because the team does a great job with my eyebrows. Mine are thick and often unruly and the women who've done my eyebrows help me so much. I've tried other places because Glam is a bit of a drive for me, but I find I keep coming back. Consistently good quality and a good price. Eyebrow threading does hurt though! I recommend trying it though if you haven't, the shape is so much better than other methods.“

“I have been going to this location for years. I usually get sew-ins, crochet, or single braids. The prices are reasonable compared to salons and African braiding shops these days. I’ve seen people come in with a set budget and they were able to get serviced. You can talk to them about your wants and concerns. The workers here are always patient and caring. The owner recognizes me when I come in and I observed this with other people that were returning. During my last visit, I came in pregnant and they made sure I was comfortable.
