About Columbia Martial Arts and Fitness
Columbia Martial Arts and Fitness (CMA) is a thriving martial arts club founded in 1993. With its current 5000 sq foot facility, CMA uses martial arts to teach self-confidence, focus, and discipline, aiming to excite, engage, and empower its students. The club has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with parents praising the excellent staff and their ability to cater to children of all abilities, including those with special needs. The children enjoy the fun and discipline, and the weekly challenges help boost their confidence. While the facility is described as small and tight, the ample outdoor space makes up for it. The staff's patient and understanding approach has been particularly appreciated, as they encourage and challenge students, even those who may not be very athletic, to grow and improve. Overall, CMA is described as a welcoming and inclusive environment that helps children develop important life skills.
We have taken our children here for years for after school, camp and karate, they’re the absolute best! We have 5 boys and a daughter that is special needs. The boys all get the fun and discipline they need while our daughter is always welcomed and included in all of the activities. We would give more stars if we could!
My daughter has loved attending CMA she loves the staff and other kids. Great balance of both girls and boys to allow a great experience for either gender to relate and feel comfortable. The staff is excellent with the children with Patience and understanding. Love being a part of CMA and there family! The weekly challenges for the kids are great for at home use that they get rewarded for in class with a power stripe and it is a huge confidence booster for the children. Could go on with how great CMA is. My ONLY concern if I had to put one out there is that a bigger facility would be great. It is small and tight inside plenty of outside space though for parking etc.
My 8 year old loves this place. He isn’t very athletic and this has given him the ability to grow his confidence while practicing skills that will translate into all areas of his life, including other sports if he chooses to pursue that later. The staff are so friendly and supportive. If he becomes frustrated, they encourage him and challenge him to push through whatever he is struggling to accomplish.
