About MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center
MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center is a 211-bed, all-private room facility with more than 120 physicians and care team members. It offers kidney transplants, robotic surgery, acute care, diagnostic services, women’s health, orthopaedic services, cardiac services, general and laparoscopic surgery, rehabilitation, emergency treatment, wound care, and more. A friend had outpatient surgery here and Monica provided 5 star care. She was friendly, concerned and offered reassurance. One spouse had a kidney transplant, and the ICU and the step down unit was freaking amazing. They made sure they heard his concerns, and the surgeons and doctors were awesome. The other team members were amazing. Another patient came twice with a toddler, both times were amazing. The team was empathetic and so helpful to calm nerves. From the security guard at the front door, to the receptionists, nurses and doctors, they felt heard and cared for. One patient sees Dr Chaudhary for several years. She is an awesome doctor who answers all questions. All the workers in the building are very nice. Another patient had two hospital stays, both times care was EXCELLENT. From the care and wisdom of the CNAs to nurses to doctors, everyone truly cared. Wait times were minimal.
I was Treated with the upmost respect, dignity and kindness that I didn’t want to leave and they didn’t want me to leave when it was time today. I want to show out the ENTIRE TEAM of medical professionals! At one point I was like they’re wayyyyyyy to nice to me and I got nervous. But they truly are a great team! Nurse Lovie, Lpn April, Dr. Raghava Nagaraj, social worker Marie and the entire team or nurses and Doctors that held me down! I’m sorry for those that I couldn’t remember your names but I wanna SHOUT OUT THE ENTIRE MUSC TEAM!
ER was wonderful! I had a major injury to my hand and they were so patient and caring. DJ was excellent and very caring. Thanks so much for making me feel more comfortable I was definitely in panic mode and they made me laugh through it.
I would like to specifically recognize
Dr. Edward McCutcheon for exceptional compassion, leadership, and patient advocacy during a very difficult hospitalization. His personal concern, thoughtfulness, and willingness to go above and beyond meant more to me and my family than words can adequately express.
Exceptional healthcare is not only about medicine — it is also about caring for patients, and care team members, in their most vulnerable moments. MUSC is fortunate to have a physician leader of Dr. McCutcheon’s caliber.
