I cannot say enough great things about this dental office. From the moment you walk in, you’re always welcomed by smiling, friendly faces at the front desk. They genuinely ask how you’re doing and take the time to check if there’s anything specific you’d like addressed, which immediately makes you feel cared for and heard.
The waiting area is calm and relaxing, with plenty of magazines to browse while you wait. You’re then greeted by a dental hygienist who is consistently welcoming, professional, and gentle. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad hygienist here. They carefully walk you through the plan for the day and always ask if you’re experiencing any issues or concerns.
The dentists themselves are outstanding. They take the time to walk you through your teeth map, clearly explaining any areas of concern and how they plan to address them. Comfort is always a priority, and you never feel rushed. What truly sets this practice apart is their “old school” approach, they value doing things the right way rather than rushing through procedures.
I’ve had crowns done in the past at other offices that were done incorrectly, and this team fixed them properly using the right materials so I won’t have issues in the future. That level of care and attention to detail has made all the difference.
I have never had a bad experience here, and I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking for thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely caring dental care.

Both my parents are patients here so my fiancé tried to book an appointment. They aren’t taking any new patients at this time which is fine, but the receptionist was incredibly rude to my fiancé and hung up so I had to call myself and see what the problem was.

Even though I had 100% coverage with no deductible and and no copay for crown but they charged me $560 before they would do it..my United Ins. paid them in full 1 week after my visit, I called four times in 2 months and the front desk office mgr. continued to give me the runaround saying they couldn't write checks from the office and would have to come from their billing co. but wouldn't give me their name ..she kept saying she would tell them again ..even after my ins. co. called them to dispute as they were paid in full but still kept my money. Finally I went directly to the office when I got back in town and asked to speak to Dr McKinley and they refused saying he was busy like the other times I called on the phone and he never returned my call. They called me today next day and had my check written from their office along with a letter from Dr McKinley saying we no longer had a client patient relationship... I have tried since sept to have my records forwarded in my new dentist said they would contact them also but they haven't received.

Dr. McKinley has an amazing staff that truly cares about you. They're not only friendly and have great customer service but they're very knowledgeable. I only wish they were open later and on Fridays! I'm grateful they're open at 7 AM! Fantastic Dentist great music, great ambience, highly trained staff and amazing experience. Best dentist I've been to yet here in the Low Country.

Very happy with Dr. McKinley and the entire Staff. The unfortunate part is that I had to visit multiple times during 2024. Due to the number of visits, I am pretty sure that I met every staff member. Everyone is pleasant, they explain the process to be performed, and always ensure that I am not feeling any discomfort. My next visit is within a few weeks. Schedule an appointment, you will not be disappointed.

Was very happy with the way Dr McKinley took care of my wife who needed some extensive dental work. He and his staff are all very compassionate and helpful from his receptionist to the nursing staff. He has been our dentist for the last few years since the retirement of our family dentist who we had for over 25 years as a long time Hilton Head Island I would highly recommend his practice for your dental needs
