“For those of you that may know me, and for the ones that don’t, know that I’m not the best at self care. No that doesn’t mean I don’t shower!! It means I don’t tend to myself as I should. I always think of everyone else’s needs or feelings first, instead of doing things that make me feel good for myself. Not that I I feel like I owe anyone anything, it’s who I am. So I will go longer without getting my hair done or maybe put off getting a manicure or pedicure, or maybe it’s buying something that I’ve been wanting. This comes from not feeling like enough or that I have deserved those things. So with that, triggers will set in and time will go by and then one day you realize, it’s been way too long since your last hair cut and you are tired of looking shabby. So, I reached out to Brandy of Color Palette Salon. Set the appointment and went to get my hair cut. And it starts out like it always does. How do you want your hair cut? Same answer I always give her. I dunno, do what ever you want I trust you. Well Brandy, knows me well enough to know, that it’s summer and it’s hot and I can’t stand my hair touching my ear and neck and that heat bothers my scalp. So without further hesitation, she starts cutting and when finished ! I am back to my old cut. And I freaking loving it. I didn’t realize how much I had missed it. I walked out with a smile on my face, seeing just a glimpse of my old self again. So, Thank you Brandy for giving a friend more than you will ever realize.
