I just used Mid-State this week after our heat went out over the weekend. We initially called another company who evaluated our furnace and determined it needed a new circuit board. Our home is only 3 years old and under parts warranty. This company quoted $533 for labor to replace the under warranty circuit board.
It didn't feel right, so I called Mid-State Heating and Cooling. Rebecca was great, I explained exactly what the other company did and she said they would come give a second opinion. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. Not only did he fix everything quickly and efficiently but he walked us through everything he did in an easily understood manner as well as presented an extraordinarily professional display of both trade and customer service capabilities. He's the best experience we've had.

Around 11:30 last night my wife and I started smelling a burnt chemical odor all through the house. No smoke, no fire, just this strong gross smell that wouldn’t go away. Like everybody, I’m on my phone looking it up while I’m running around the house feeling every outlet trying to figure out where it was coming from. The AC was off but the fan was still running, and when I checked the vents the smell hit me hard. That’s when I knew it was the HVAC.
Called Jon McCartha first thing this morning and Jeff Russo was at my house by lunch. He found the problem right away — the condensation pump had burnt out and didn’t shut itself off like it’s... read full review
