Around 11:30 last night my wife and I started smelling a burnt chemical odor all through the house. No smoke, no fire, just this strong gross smell that wouldn’t go away. Like everybody, I’m on my phone looking it up while I’m running around the house feeling every outlet trying to figure out where it was coming from. The AC was off but the fan was still running, and when I checked the vents the smell hit me hard. That’s when I knew it was the HVAC.
Called Jon McCartha first thing this morning and Jeff Russo was at my house by lunch. He found the problem right away — the condensation pump had burnt out and didn’t shut itself off like it’s supposed...read full review
