I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience here. My dog has been boarded at this facility 4–5 times since I moved here in July, and up until now, I trusted their care. However, during this last visit, he was given two different anxiety medications without my knowledge. I only found out after the fact when I received the receipt by email.

What makes this worse is that I had just expressed concern with his sensitive stomach during his last vet visit less than a week ago. Giving him unnecessary medication without informing me directly “because he could have had a heartache…..” When I asked about the situation, Dr. Griffin explained that it was because my dog was barking in his cage. That is not an anxiety disorder.. he is a dog, and a mini schnauzer at that. Barking when he doesn’t want to do something is normal behavior, not a condition that requires medication.

Since July, I’ve spent close to $1,000 here, and I expected better communication and transparency. Unfortunately, after this incident, I can no longer trust this clinic integrity, and he will not be coming back.

In search of a new vet after recent experiences. I've been using Griffin since around 2020. One of my cats passed away in January and they were pretty cold about it. Not a great experience with his death. We have another cat who is aggressive so we have to give him anxiety medicine before his visits. We have NEVER had to do this with any other vet. (The only reason we switched from other vets was because we moved areas and Griffin was one that a friend of mine used, so I trusted them.) They do not seem to know how to handle unhappy pets without the pet being drugged. I asked to have bloodwork done and was told that my cat would need anesthesia for that. He also has bad teeth and needs some removed. They said that I have to pay in full at the time of the visit and the removal of the teeth alone would be close to $2000. We could not afford that at the time and they told me to call back and schedule with their veterinary dentist when I could. I have been calling for almost 2 weeks trying to get an estimated quote and an appointment set up for my cat. I call every other day and the receptionist tells me the doctor will have to call me back. She has been friendly and also seems confused as to why the doctor has not returned my call. The doctor does not seem to want to help my cat so we will be looking for a new vet who does. She does not show care or compassion for my cat and it is very sad to see someone like this in her profession.

This is more than a clinic of doctors and nurses. This animal clinic houses the very best veterinarian. Doctor Christie Griffin is passionate about her furry patients and their parents. Everyone who greets you has a positive attitude, and this staff welcomes all through the door as if it were their home. When you mention our vet's name in our home tails wag with positive vibes and the fun barks Our Ella, Lexi, and Scout look forward to visiting the animal clinic. It makes us feel at ease no matter what the nature of our visit may be.
