My maltipoo started limping so I ask my vet for a referral to an Orthopedic.. She sent me to Dr Stan at Capital Animal Hospital. The minute I walked into the office I knew I was in the right place. The staff was so friendly and treated my Rocky with love. I met Dr Stan and he started explaining everything to me. He explained Rocky needed TPO surgery and explained what he’d do step by step. I felt confident he’d fix my little Rocky and he did. He also picked up on that something else possibly Cushings was going on with him. He is very observant. My vet sent Rocky to an Internist who feels the same thing. So Rocky is now getting treatment for something only Dr Stan picked up on. One other thing Dr Stan gave me his number and I was able to contact him at any time. I’m so grateful for him and his staff. In my book he’s #1 in his field!

We were referred to Capital Animal hospital by our vet and we could not have been more pleased. Our 10 year old lab Forest had TPLO surgery with Dr. Stan in July 2025. Dr. Stan and the staff were amazing during the entire process. Dr. Stan explained the procedure with hand drawn diagrams and X-rays. Our post-op instructions were very thorough and Dr. stan followed up every time he said he would. There was great communication and transparency about pricing also. Hopefully we won’t need anymore ortho surgery but if we do we will definitely be back to see Dr. Stan at Capitol Animal hospital.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Stan Veytsman, Veterinarian Orthopedic Surgeon . He is incredibly helpful, patient, and truly passionate about his work. He took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand and made sure I felt comfortable with every step of my dog, Rocko’s care. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and their families. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication mean so much during stressful moments. I’m truly grateful for the care he provided — highly recommend! Dr. Stan is THE MAN‼️

Beware of Dr. Suber!!!! Dr. Suber took bloodwork without asking for our consent supposedly as pre-op for a surgery that we did not want. After they came in with vials of blood they asked, “Well should we run the panel since we have it?”Additionally, to get this bloodwork we did not consent to, they had to muzzle and place a blanket over my dog and hold him down! He expressed his anal glands and was scared to death. This dog has never had that reaction at any other vet! So we are out money, our dog was traumatized for no reason, and we were sent home with pre-op instructions for a surgery we do not want. If I could tell you to avoid this doctor any more clearly, I would. DO NOT GO TO DR. SUBER!!! Vets, think twice before referring your dog/cat families to him.

Our dog tore his ACL and after realizing what the problem is we got quoted almost double what Capital offered to do the surgery for.
Going into the surgery, we had no idea what to expect or how it worked. The surgeon gave us our consultation and walked us through exactly what was wrong, exactly how they would fix it, what that recovery would look like, and how the process would go down.
It was a seamless day of surgery and pick up. The surgeon gave us his personal contact info to reach out to him with questions long the way (which there were many) and he answered all of them timely and helpfully guiding us along the recovery path.
The follow-ups and check ins were as easy as could be and about 4 months later our pup is acting like a pup again.
It’s a hard process, but they went to every possible effort to make it easy on us and our dog. 100% would recommend to anyone in need of care.

Dr. Stan and staff took excellent care of Akiva for both CCL repairs. From the initial consult to her 16 week recovery checks, we experienced efficient and compassionate care with great communication every step of the way. Akiva now has restored function and can return to an active life.
