“Though I'm dealing with several major health issues, my chronic lower back pain can no longer sit 'on the back burner.' I considered physical therapy, but, opted to try acupuncture, first, as it's been helpful in the past. While there are many practitioners offering this alternative medicine, I wanted an MD certified to perform this procedure, preferably, one that is associated with MUSC. I found an MD that did acupuncture as part of his family practice located in Daniel Island. As with appointments for new patients in all disciplines, I had to wait two months for the first appointment. There's plenty of parking. I pre-checked in through the patient portal. I waited just a few minutes for the triage tech and then, the doctor. The procedure was fine. Dr. Bunt asked me to return in 2 weeks. The only downside, and perhaps, a show stopper, is that the doctor only performs acupuncture on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons ... he's heavily booked and I wasn't able to get an appointment until September 16. Oh, well ...“
