I have been a patient at this practice for many years and previously delivered my child at East Cooper with Dr. Pound, who is truly incredible. (And everyone I’ve ever met there) Because of my long and positive history here, I was very surprised and disappointed by my experience during a recent routine visit.

The upsetting part occurred when I was called back from the waiting room. I missed my name being called the first time because I was briefly on the phone with my husband discussing an insurance issue related to the recent company transition to novant. We had a wonderful experience with East Cooper OBGYN and the delivery and postpartum staff at East Cooper Medical Center. From the very beginning of my pregnancy until the birth of our little boy, we felt supported and cared for every step of the way.

A special thank you to Dr. White for making the entire pregnancy and delivery process so smooth and reassuring. Her professionalism and kindness made a world of difference.

To make this somewhat short and sweet— overall it is an ok group of ladies. I would steer CLEARRRR away from Dr. Funkhauser and Dr. Keller. Their bedside manner was absolutely horrible and rude. As a first time mom, they treated me terribly. I had a completely uncomplicated pregnancy and ended up with a C section at 40 weeks. Both doctors were so rude, I ended up requesting to see the Laborist in the hospital (Dr. Foley) and she was AMAZING. Dr. Williamson was on call and ended up doing my c section and I’m soooo thankful for her. very caring, patient, and answered all questions.
