Citadel Mall, while not having many in-line tenants has the region’s largest and nicest Dillard’s and Belk department stores with both having two-stories and being close to 200,000 square feet. The mall also has a very nice Target that just underwent a total renovation. Medical University of South Carolina also recently opened a huge outpatient medical facility in the former JCPenney space. It’s convenient to attend to medical appointments and shopping all in one location. There is a CVS pharmacy and a Starbucks inside Target. This was not my first time but it was really time for me to take a moment and share my gratitude for the tech who provided me with my pedicure. Firstly, I think his name is Vaughn? This mall has the largest Belk and Dillard's stores in the region and both are much nicer than the department stores' other area locations. It also features the area's first Target which recently underwent a complete renovation. The mall is slated to undergo a multi-million dollar renovation and addition with a multi-level sports complex added, office towers, additional medical facilities and a gigantic retheming of the entire property, to be renamed "Epic Center", a play on epicenter because it's geographically in the center of Charleston.
