Asked me what I was comfortable with rather than just tell me. Starting my treatments next week so they got me in fast too! I've got to mention my hygienist Ashley, I believe. She was great with my cleaning and super smart when we were talking about my x-rays and pictures.“

“My first visit to Dental Center West buoyed my spirit in every way. I was greeted as I walked through the door by the woman at reception who knew my name and why I was there, and had the admittance paper work ready for me. She gave me clear instructions on how to get started. I was seen promptly by the PA who was professional and efficient in taking the entrance X-rays, quizzing me on the questions she had from my paperwork and prepping me for the Doctor's exam. I waited less than five minutes for the Doctor to arrive who was similarly well informed and straight forwardly asked the questions necessary to fill in the remaining gaps in her knowledge of my current state. She thoroughly inspected my mouth asking more diagnostic questions along the way. Following the exam, she walked me through what she had found. There were no immediate problems but she listed the areas of concern and how she would use regular six-months checkups to keep an eye on things. I left the office re-assured and confident I was in competent, experienced and professional hands.
25-12-04 UPDATE I have not been dissapointed in my first impressions. Dr. Akhtar is a thorough going professional and firm, supported by her education and experience in what care my teeth and mouth require. No unneeded extra's or premature procedures, simply every step in its time and then done efficiently and comprehensively. She is supported by a staff who match her professionalism. I could not be happier of more satisfied.
26-06-26 UPDATE I just received a filling from Dr Akhtar done efficiently and with NO PAIN during or after the procedure. Over the years I have been a patient of Dental Center West the atmosphere of the office has steadily improved. They started from a solid baseline, so that's no mean feat. There is a calm that one senses upon entering the office that is then confirmed and amplified by each of the dental associates who prep and perform any needed tests and X-rays. Dr Akhtar though busy, as it is clear that she is a sought after professional, gives each of us plenty of time to ask questions to understand a procedure or any needed next steps, all done with a smile.“
